What is the concierge collection? And how does it work?

I was on the DVC website and I saw that they have an adventurer's collection, a conciege collection...etc. Has anyone tried this, what is it, and how does it work? Do you have to pay more for it, or is it part of DVC?

The "Collections" are just groups of non-DVC resorts or vacations that can be booked for points. They are alternatives to using your points at a DVC resort For example, you can use points to cruise to Alaska (or anywhere DCL goes), stay at the Disneyland Paris, take an African Safari or to spend a week on the Mexican Rivieria.

Options in the Collections are not guaranteed to always be there and the cost in points varies each year - usually they go up. While they do make for a nice change of pace, most here say the best economic use of a DVC point is using it to stay at a DVC resort.

Don't buy DVC for the non-DVC options - buy only if you plan to regularly use your points for DVC resort.
