We can get flights for £250 for August, arriving Monday leaving Friday. Ideally we would like 3 full days in the park, so don't mind staying somewhere else on the Monday and possibly the Thursday night.

We are going to keep an eye out for a deal but is there another way to do this within £400 budget?

AP's and staying off site. If you want the EMH get Dream ap's.

At present you can get them from CEmultiavantages for 149€ and you'd get a free one for Rose

Then look at the hotels at Val d'europe and get the train in (one stop - 5 minutes) or the Dream Castle or Magic Circus and they have the shuttles :)

this is just what I suggested on your other thread rosebug ;).

Hi there.

i am amazed by how little our 3 (yes 3) trips to DLP have cost this year.

The latest at easter I have decided to drive and take the tunnel as it was so much cheaper than flying or the eurostar....

When you factor in the time you spend getting to the airport, then checking in, and waiting....then the flight, then the hassle the other end, and the getting to the parks from the airport..... we left home at 5am at May half term, and made it into the parks at 5pm just at parade time.....

I am fairly confident that (traffic jams permitting) i can leave at the same time and get into the parks by 3pm by driving all the way!

This trip in Easter hols (the 1st for the 20th anniversary!) is 4 nights in Val de Europe (adagio) in a big apartment for £275. The tunnel cost £75.
We have dream apsses (bought with child free as rec by Carrie) to get EMH.

As shareholders we will be making the most of Salon Mickey for snacks/ breakfast plus the 15% discounts on food etc.

Whenever we go elsewhere for the day (this being half term) I am convinced that we could have spent the time cheaper (and more fun) at Disney......

Really looking forward to our easter trip, and how much money we will save...:cool1:

Stashing plastic bottles now to fill up in the room, to avoid paying E3 each in the parks....

Have fun planning!

Wow...that's a very good price, and the hotel looks very nice.

If we ever fail to find a good enough offer at the DCR, will definitely consider staying here.....only problem is I''m the only one in the family without an AP (normally use the ticket we get with the single occupancy DCR booking).

We are pretty much doing the same- 5 adults, 4 nights in the Adagio (cost us £300, we took the option to be able to cancel) and we're getting APs (going for fantasy as its 200 euros cheaper in total and I know bf's family would not get up for emh). We are also you going for the 20th (30th march to 3rd April).

We are flying though as we live in Scotland, think it will be about 8 hours from when we leave the house to when we get to the hotel whereas I think driving would be 13 or 14 hours, managed to get flights to CDG for under £95 return each which is probably about the same as it would cost to drive (petrol, tolls & euro tunnel each way).

Think we are doing it about as cheaply as possible for 5 adults, it's still going to be pretty expensive though, it's already £1300 which for a 3.5 day trip is quite a lot (to me... My family are really into moneysaving and my parents think a holiday is expensive if it's more than £200 each for travel and accommodation for a week) it seems more expensive as bf and I are paying for it all, his parents were hit pretty bad by recession so we offered to take them to put a little magic back in their lives!

Hiya

We're thinking of doing 2 nights at the Adagio in June, before our main stay at Sequoia Lodge.

Who have you booked through? There seem to be lots of sites showing it, just wondered if anyone had any recommendations for price or reliability.

Thanks

Hi there.

I booked adagio through Hotels.com as I have a hidden agenda... I want to get virgin freqent flier miles to upgrade our flights to WDW next year, and you can do that through the virin atlantic website, so this was a 'double disney' booking if thats possible!

It may have been a copuple of quid cheaper elsewhere but I was after the points... I also got point on my tunnel booking.... so maybe enough to upgrade to premium economy for the 9 hr flight............

Here's hoping !:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

hi, we're thinking of driving this yr for our first ever trip, how much did it roughly cost you in petrol? thanks

When we stayed offsite last summer we booked through expedia because they had a good quidco cashback offer on.

We also drive - the journey the other side of the tunnel is just under 200 miles. How much it will cost in petrol will depend a lot on your car. We live within one hours drive of the tunnel and can comfortably do a return trip from home on one tank of diesel in our current car.
