What is the Bus Loop for AKV?

I have heard conflicting reports about which part of AKV the buses go to first. Do they run from Kidani Village then Jambo House then the parks, or vice versa? Thanks in advance

We were at AKV June 11-15. The bus for Downtown Disney stops first at Jambo House (the main lodge) and then continues to Kidani Village. The buses for the four parks (MK, HS, Epcot, and AK) stop first at Kidani Village, then go to Jambo House before continuing to the parks.

If you are at Jambo and wanted to go to Kidani, then the Downtown Disney bus is the only bus you should take. If you are at Kidani, then any of the park buses will take you directly to Jambo.

The park busses stop at Kidani first, then Jambo. The Downtown Disney bus stops at Jambo first, then Kidani. When I was there last month, there was alot of confusion about the stops, the drivers really did not announce that the first stop was Kidani and many of the guests didn't seem to know if they were staying at Kidani or Jambo (they were probably Jambo because Kidani is all DVC and you would probably know). The first afternoon I got there, there were 2 famlies on the bus with luggage and didn't know which they were staying at. One woman held up the bus while she was trying to call someone on her cell to find out if they were staying at Jambo or Kidani.

We were there 2 weeks ago and the above mentioned routes are accurate for the most part. It really depends on the driver and though they should know the routes by now we did have a few drivers stop at Jambo first when they should have stopped at Kidani and vice-versa. It only happened twice but it did happen. The bus stops at each building look different so as long as you are paying attention it shouldn't be hard to know when to get off even if the driver doesn't follow the planned route.

This was our experience also. A couple of times we went to Kidani first when Jambo was to be first. We stayed at Jambo 6/5-6/12. The DTD bus was slow so after the 1st time waiting for it and then walking to Kidani, we just walked over after that. It is no fun walking down the hill to the bus stop only to go back up the hill to walk to Kidani because the bus is taking forever.

Much easier to go from Kidani to Jambo than it is from Jambo to Kidani.

I agree, its very easy to go from Kidani to Jambo because any of the 4 park buses stop at Kidani first (or at least they should) so you don't have to wait on a particular bus. You can just jump on any park bus as it comes along.

However, there can be a good wait at Jambo when trying to get to Kidani since the DTD bus is the only one going in that direction. I think they need to add a second bus, possibly the Animal Kingdom park one, that goes from Jambo to Kidani. The AK bus should come more frequently given the short distance between the resort and park so that should help offset the infrequent nature of the DTD bus route. I hope they have already realized that a 4-1 advantage in one direction won't work long-term.

Overall we never waited more than 15 minutes when we were there, but most often that was waiting to go from Jambo to Kidani. We usually waited less than 5 minutes going the other direction (Kidani to Jambo) and many times had a park bus arrive at the Kidani bus stop less than a minute after we arrived there.
