So here you have it. I have been reading up on all the restaurants and meals but am curious to know what the best treat is at Disneyland/CA? I've done a few trips so far and am planning my next and need to know. Is it the Dolewhip? Mickey Icecream? What else?

You will get a hundred different answers. I will start. Tigger and Cheshire tails YUMMO!!!

By 'treat' I presume you mean dessert? I would say the Tigger/Cheshire Cat Tails at Pooh's Corner, Mickey Beignets at Cafe Orleans, chocolate-dipped rice krispie Mickey heads at Blue Ribbon Bakery (presumably at Jolly Holiday right now) and cupcakes at the stand in DTD.

I'm not big on the Dole Whips myself, but then I generally don't like pineapple-flavored things.

Well, I have to say Dole Whip. It's a given! We also enjoy the pineapple spears they sell at the Dole stand, it's kind of a nice break from all the sugar.

But our all time favorite?! Mickey Shaped Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar. So darn good!

Definitely the dole Whip. I went to WDW when I was 13-yrs old, and that is one of the few things I remember about the trip. I was not into food back in those days, but it stuck out in my memory. I still love them.

Dole Whips!!! Love them! However, I have somehow never tried the beignets. They are on the top of my list for next time.

Beignets for the family

Club 33 steak for me

For me, it is the pretzel stick that is dipped in caramel, then dipped in dark chocolate, then milk chocolate is drizzled on it. This has the perfect sweet/salty ratio for me. I get that in Pooh's Corner while the kids get a Tigger's Tail and hubby gets a Chocolate Chip Cookie.
I say, try them all, and then decide! Have everyone get something different when you stop for a treat, and share. This way, you can find out if you really like something or not and not feel guilty for spending $$$ if you do not care for something!:thumbsup2

Dole Whip
or
the 6 pack of mini-cupcakes. You get all the best cupcakes without overdoing it.

Mickey-shaped beignets.

Dark chocolate honeycomb.

Chocolate walnut fudge.

Toffee.

Fudge mallows.

Decorated cookie with chocolate frosting.

Chocolate croissant.

Dreams cake.

Sorry, I really like chocolate.

Since I can never decide what my favorite thing is I just try to buy everything (and share with the family) over the course of a trip so I can taste it all again.

A couple of other goodies that were better than expected were the lemon cupcake at Hungry Bear, apple strudel at Village Haus, bear claw at the DLH coffee shop, brownie at Jolly Holiday Bakery, and the lemon drop candy sold in the movie theater style candy boxes at the candy shops.

After reading all the hype about the dole whips, I had to try one--and for me it was just one big blob of "meh". I know some people love them, so maybe it is just me? (probably is!). It is soft serve fro-yo in a cup of pinapple juice (or you can get it just as fro-yo). It doesn't taste that good to me as far as the texture or richness.

My favorite treat to get at Disneyland is an ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone from Gibson Girl Ice Cream shop. In the summer, it has to be mint chip, and at holiday time, it has to be their incredible peppermint ice cream. In the summer, I recommend eating your mint chip ice cream cone while watching the fireworks on a warm night with your loved ones. There is nothing like that!

The handmade chocolate candies at Candy Palace are also great!

Another vote for beignets and a mint julep from the Mint Julep bar. I also really like churros.

Anyone have a list of ice cream flavors at Gibson Girl? Just curious what they offer!!!!!:)

Another Vote for the Gibson Girl here and their yummy chocolate dipped waffle cones! That was fantastic. It may be the smell as you go in (it smells like waffle cones) BUT it is yummy! :cool1:
I also LOVE the Tigger Tail! Husband LOVES Chocolate Covered Bananas when we are in DL. Who would have guessed, he never touches Bananas any other time!!! :confused3
For the girls it's Churros hands down! Although they love the Churros at Costco too so it may not be DL thing but sugar thing!!! :lmao:

My votes are as follows
#1 Churo
#2 Popcorn in souv-tub...my at home popcorn keeper !!!
#3 Tigger Tail

ENJOY !!!

What a great list already, can't wait to give some of them a try! What exactly are Tigger tails?

For the girls it's Churros hands down! Although they love the Churros at Costco too so it may not be DL thing but sugar thing!!! :lmao:

I've heard the same company makes both churros, so it's not surprising they like both! :thumbsup2

I enjoy the Dole Whip, but I have to be the a pineapple mood. I also like the caramel corn and my favorite non-sweet treat is the jalapeno-cheese filled pretzel!
