We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside with a family of 5, and I want to try and get a good location to the food court, pool and bus stop, plus have a nice view of something nice... any suggeestions on a good room?? We are going in Dec. Not sure about the scenery then.... any suggestions.. thanks..
And how about the pools?? Are they warm enough to swim in, in December??

I can't really help with your question, but I think rather than requesting a specific room, you should request a building. Don't set yourself up for disappointment by getting too specific with your requests!

If you want a great map of POR, this one is GREAT!

Ok, which building is better, I guess 14 would be the best, since 18 is smoking... How hard or easy is it to get 14?? ANyone ever try??

I always thought this was a great view, taken from room: 2648
(building 26). Check the map to see where that building is....it's a beautiful walk to the food court.

Here's the view below:

That comes from our Riverside page at the website:

If we were in buildings 14 or 15, can someone tell me where we would catch the buses?

We were in Building 14 , I think it was room 1432 , or close. It was a standard view room, which turned out very nice, actually.
It was on the bottom floor.
We were about 4 minutes to the food court, the main pool is about another couple of minutes past that. The bus stop was about 3 or 4 minutes walk, there was maybe a 2 minute walk to a quiet pool, and beside that pool is a laundry room.
It is a non-smoking building if that makes any difference to you.

We loved it, and would (and will!) stay there again. Gladly in the same room.

We stayed in building 14. We loved this location. We were close to bus stop #1. The food court was close and the main pool was right over the bridge past the food court. We paid for a standard room and we had a nice view (no parkinglot) We liked this resort. My children loved feeding the ducks each morning! You will have a great time.
