We are going for 10 days with the DxDDP. I will eat almost anything and my fiance is a meat and potatoes kinda guy. We don't really like anything too fancy, but also want to treat ourselves. What do you suggest? Thanks to all!!

Well if you didn't mind being too fancy, California Grill in the Contemporary Resort is a FANTASTIC place! You sit atop the hotel, and at night, you get to watch Wishes from the restaurant. It's beautiful! And the food is absolute fantastic.. but pricey.

But this might sound funny but Chef Mickey's is my favorite restaurant in Disney. It's a buffet, also in the Contemporary Resort. There's a wide variety of foods, and if you tell them it's your honey moon, they will bring you out a special dessert, and they will make an announcement across the whole restaurant! They will then begin playing music and swirling around their napkins JUST FOR YOU! We had a great time when we went in May last year. Although it might be different since it's not What Will You Celebrate year anymore, the food is really amazinggg.

Anywhere you go in Disney is a treat! :thumbsup2
Enjoy your honeymoon! :cool1:

Thanks for your info. CG was definitely one that we wanted to hit. We actually went to CM last summer. It had always been one of my favs before (parm mashed potatoes); however, we were slightly disappointed. We enjoyed the food but were tucked away away from all the action and missed all of the characters... We still can't decide about Narcoosies or Critricos.

we loved Le Cellier on our Honeymoon! If you've never been, try the chedder cheese soup with the pretzel bread- yum! The steak was delicious! and they were so nice, they gave us a card and a free dessert with Congratulations written on the plate in chocolate!

Yeah I would definitely say go book CG! haha. :thumbsup2
But aww I hope if you go to CM again, you have a great time!
Never been to Narcoosies or Critricos, but hope you enjoy which ever you choose! :goodvibes

I highly and enthusiastically recommend Citricos!!! :lovestruc

I went there 3 times in 2009 and it was fantastic every time. The quality and taste of the food are excellent, and the service was absolutely top notch!

Citricos is easier to an get an ADR for, and there aren't usually as many kids eating at Citricos as there are at Cali Grill. It's not quite as boisterous and hustle-bustle as Cali Grill, so IMO, it's a better setting for a romantic meal.

What I do when I eat there is time my ADR so that we're done eating a bit before Wishes. Then we can walk down to the dock at GF and watch them after the meal.

The other thing I would consider is the kind of food you like. Citricos is Spanish/French/Italian Mediterranean flavors. Cali Grille is more California Fusion with a bit of an Asian influence.

I love Cali Grille too, but Citricos has the edge for me since the flavors appeal to me more and it's not as loud.

I tried Narcoossee's recently, and while it was in no way bad, it wasn't 'special' like Citricos or Cali Grill is for me.

Yachtsmans Steakhouse, Shulas or Citricos.
Go to CG for appetizers and a glass of wine, not dinner.
In the park: Le Cellier
If you want something really memorable Victoria and Albert. The menu changes so you wont know the options until you get there. But it is a once in a lifetime experience.

Cali Grill during Wishes was one of our most FAVORITE meals... We also loved Jiko so much that we canceled our ressie at Citrico's to dine at Jiko a second time.

We also loved Flying Fish Cafe for dinner and Boma for breakfast.

We also did V&A's and it was a once in a lifetime for sure.

I've been to Narcoosee a couple times, and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. It's on the lagoon, and there's a deck around much of the restaurant you can enjoy while waiting for your table. There are wondeful castle and fireworks views.

I haven't been to Citricos, yet, to give an opinion. It sounds wonderful also.

I would have to say Narcoossee's. They have steak and the best potato's au gratin there and other options like lobster for you if you want. Since the restaurant is smaller in size, it's a little more personal.

The last time I visited Calli Grille I was disappointed. There seemed to be a ton of kids even later in the evening and I wouldn't characterize it as being as romantic as it used to be.

Finally, if you ever want to try something new, I'd categorize Victoria & Albert's as the most romantic place on property. I enjoyed my first dinner there in December and I would definitely return.

Enjoy yoru dinner with whatever you decide!
