Name your top three. Mine were easy to figure out.

1. $21.00 for a license to get married to my DW.

2. $15.00 copay when DS was born.

3. The Hot Springs Hot tub bought years ago.

The $$$ I spent on LASIK surgery. It changed my life.

The $150-some odd dollars I spent last night to take my niece to see Elmo's Coloring Book live.

The $75-some odd dollars I spend when I take my goddaughter to Build a Bear.

The hundreds spent going to Aquariums, zoo's, the Disney Store, etc with my nieces.

The thousands I've spent going to Disney with my husband.

Lots of $$, but every dime was worth it. I'd spend it over & over again in a heartbeat....memories that you can't put a price on.

Our first Disney trip in 2000, became hooked after that.
Can't believe I wanted until age 40 to see how special it is :goodvibes

1. $11,450.00 for my facelift, brow lift, eye lid reuction and neck lift.

2. $14.00 to get married (ceremony and license fees total)

3. just about everything else.

That's an easy one (two AND three)...Private School for DD8 since she was 3. Thank the Gods for Maria MONTESSORI. :thumbsup2

Extra $$ toward the principle of the mortgage payment EVERY month.
Our house was ours when I turned 40.
Mortgage free for the rest of our days! We love it here :teeth:

$5,000 down payment. I bought a condo when I was 25 instead of renting. The money I made off of the condo allowed DH and I to buy a single family home when we got married last fall.

$2000 (I think?) option package on my Saturn. A/C, power doors/windows, keyless remote, etc. I decided that if I was going to be driving the thing for the next 10 years, I should at least have all the options I want. That was 8 years ago and I've never regreted it. I'll do the same on future cars!

$100 for my feather bed. It's so soft and WARM!!!! :goodvibes:

$300 for my dishwasher (the "new" house didn't have one at all). 'Nuff said.

$400 for the Richard Petty Driving Experiance for DH (then my fiance). I've never seen him so happy! The rest of the trip, he'd randomly look at me and say "I drove a race car!" When I showed his mom the pictures, even she remarked that it was the biggest grin she'd ever seen on him.

$0. Adopting my dog Missy from someone that couldn't keep her anymore (due to circumstances beyond her control, she hated to give her up). The best things in life are free!

For the material things in our life:

1. Our DVC - priceless to us now

2. Our pillowtop mattress - it gives us an unbelieveably relaxing nights sleep

3. Clean Shower shower spray

£30 on two kittens last August

£240-ish on a laptop

££££ on every Disney holiday I have ever had :goodvibes

:sunny:

$400 for a rheumatologist who actually SPENT TIME with me and treated me.

$1000 for WInnie, our bulldog baby!

1) The down-payment for our first (and only) home.
2) The money we used for Disney trips (and other vacations) as our childen grew.
3) The money we are spending (and will spend for years) on our kids college educations.

The most simple purchase we made that I love the most is the ceiling fan over my bed... I like to feel the air moving! :)

I'm looking for a good rheumatologist myself, live in southern NY area, I think you may not be too far from me, good docs are sooo hard to find. :confused3

The $20 copay when I gave birth to DD...

Same here! :thumbsup2

Second is the $$$ spent on having my gallbladder removed. :rotfl:

The $400 phone bill from talking to DH while we were dating. My mom had given me a phone card and I forgot to use it. It was the one night that we couldn't stop talking and the one night we still talk about. :goodvibes

1) the $20 marriage license fee
2) $75 copay for birth of each DS
3) $75 adoption fee for the best collie in the world (Linus!)
4) YMCA swim team fees for my DS - fantastic coaching, huge benefits for body and soul! :)
5) anything spent on our Disney vacations - priceless :teeth:

1. whatever we spent to get married

2. whatever we spent to have DS

3. a tie: the $2 I paid at the neighbors yard sale for the little Fisher Price cart that my DS LOVES to push around the house - or the $60 we spent for DS's Little Tikes Cozy Coupe Convertible. He LOVES to go for rides in that thing. It has a handle on the back for us to push him with it. We have to hide it or he'd sit in all day. Even when he was sick with Rotavirus he'd crawl in it and give us this pitiful "please take me for a walk" look. Here it is: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...UN6WX5RRO2AG&vi=pictures&img=14#more-pictures

The money we spent for our Disney cruise/WDW wedding. It was the perfect wedding for us (DS included), and I will never forget the fun we had!
