What is the best DVC for Christmas time?

Actually we are probably going 1 week before Thanksgiving, I have decided to rent points, what one is the best for the Christmas season? We will be getting a 1 bedroom, we will have our own car, but would love to not use it, it will be DH, DS (4) and myself - thanks

Are you talking about renting points for next year? DVC resorts book up far in advance, and most are full already for that time period for this year. You could probably still get a villa at SSR or OKW, or try and rent someone's reservation that they can't use.

We have stayed at all of the DVC resorts at Disney. You don't have to use your car from any of the resorts - all have buses available. My favorites for not using the Disney buses as much are BLT, BCV and BWV.

The decorations at the resorts don't usually go up until Thanksgiving week. And it may be very difficult to get that week, even if it is before Thanksgiving week, now. Most members book seven to 11 months out.

If you really are wanting to go this year, it's going to be more a matter of what you can get. I would guess you'll have a choice of SSR, OKW and AKV.

So I'm going to go with the assumption that we are talking 2013. If that is the case my vote is WL. Hands down, but remember WL is also the smallest dvc and members snatch up the inventory really quick.

Agreed! The VWL feel so cozy during the holiday season and the resort decorations are great!

Thanks for your great ideas! I think many of you are right and WLV is what I am going to go after, I forgot about the boat ride to MK, plus looking at all the pics of WL during Christmas, it looks amazing!!! Again thank you

No, I meant that if you're going to try to book in November of 2012, OKW, SSR and AKV are likely to be your only choices.

If you're going in November of 2013, I'd recommend VWL. But you will need to be working with a VWL owner who can reserve right when the 11 month window opens up - meaning, you'll want to book in December 2012 for November 2012.

Yeah that what I was thinking of doing, this is for next year , I always plan far in advance, this year our vacation the DCL to Hawaii
