What is the best drink at Ohana'?

Lapu Lapu - perfect vacation drink. Where else do you drink out of a pineapple! And you get your moneys worth! To me it is almost like 2 drinks. Our favorite bar is the Tambu Lounge.

Where is the Tambu Lounge? We have been to the Poly, but I can't recall where it is located. We will be there next month! :)

It's $10.99. It is pretty good but it was too strong for me.

Listen lol, were going to Ohana after a hefty day of not doing much of anything LOL (unless someone talks us into going to IOA)...i'm sooo gonna drink the Lapu Lapu LOL!

I wonder if a pina colada in the middle of the afternoon (were going during lunch on our MK day) would be to much alcohol...just one of course since were going back into the hot sun for the rest of MK day :)

I'm just resurrecting this thread because we're heading to the world in a few weeks and I want to try the pina colada at the Poly. Someone here posted that it was incredible. I'm just wondering...can I get it in a hollowed out coconut? You know....it's all about presentation for me. :teeth: Well, that and of course the rum. :rotfl:

Lapu-lapu or Maui 'rita? Lapu-lapu or Maui 'rita?

Maybe we'll have to take the kids to the kids' club that night and have Lapu-lapu AND Maui 'rita! :crazy2:

Not really, but dh LOVES him some pina colada, so this is a must for our Ohana dinner. Thanks for the tips!

I love the Island Sunset ..... it was it's fault we are staying at the Poly this year ..... one of these last year and I found myself on the phone to CRO booking this trip ...LOL

Island Sunset - A light blend of spiced rum, Malibu coconut rum, melon and peach combined with guava passion fruit juice

In my opinion the Lapu-Lapu was a Mai-tai in a pineapple. Now I like mai-tais, but they are available at a number of different restaurants and bars. Now the Maui'rita on the other hand is probably the best drink I have ever had, and I have never seen anything like it before or since. I plan on having one or two of them in a few weeks!

Okay, Melissa. You sold me. All those fruit juices sound divine--and the tequila is just a bonus. Well, an important bonus, but still. Thanks for the vivid description.

The island Sunset is the tastiest I think, it does not taste strongly of alcohol. :sunny: it is strong however I was feeling tipsy after I drank it :goodvibes

I am a sucker for the sweeter drinks. When I went on my last trip, I got a mai tai. It was awesome!! :)

I forget the name, and am pretty sure it was a new drink for the YOAMD celebration, but my wife had a blue martini type drink, with a flashing LED in it. She said it tasted great, and just one of them pretty much knocked her flat.

The pina colada was the best drink I had there. The Lapu Lapu is good, but really strong. My DD still tells people that the pina colada is the best drink she ever had. Really creamy and delicious!!:thumbsup2

Maui 'rita! (Slaps forehead.) I got to 'Ohana last year, and couldn't, for the life of me remember the name of the drink I had wanted to order. Then I forgot all about it until today. I'm going to have to start some kind of list for the next trip. Thanks for reviving this thread!
