Heading to the world in March for the celebration of my son's 4th birthday and his 4th trip. Looking for the best character meal for him to celebrate at? Saying at GFR, would breakfast or dinner be better? most characters? Thanks for any help. :woohoo:

We liked 1900 Park Fare. It was great! So is Cape May Cafe for breakfast.

My boys love breakfast at O"Hanas with Mickey. Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. the food is good and it is tons of fun.

Who are his favorite characters? That could narrow your choices. Pooh and friends= Crystal Palace, Little Einstein, Handy Manny=Hollywood &Vine, etc.

I think Tusker House for breakfast is one of the best buffets. Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy are there.

Chef Mickey's would be my second pick for almost the same characters-No Daisy, you get Pluto.

Crystal Palace is another great one with Winnie the Pooh and friends.

I would say early b'fast at cp so you can be there before the park opens - haven't done it myself but a lot of people rave about it. Then you will be there when mk opens - what a great way to start the day. (plus convenient from gf)

We have reservations for breakfast at Ohana's for my DS 7th B-day this year. Then we're doing 1900 Park Fare the next day, and Cape May the day after that! (We are obviously breakfast people!) I'll let you know when we get back late October!

My son favorite character meals (in order). He was 2yrs old when he started going to Disney and it will be his 5th trip on December.
Hollywood and Vine (he loved the sing/dance ever 15 mins and they have a musical parade). We took him here for his 3rd birthday and they made a big deal during the musical parade. I ordered him a special Cars cake and he loved it.
Tusker House Breakfast (he loves the character interaction and the musical parade)
Crystal Palace (as a family we love the food and my son loves Pooh and Piglet
Chef Mickey (he loved the character interaction)
Cape May (when we went here it had Chip/Dale his favorite characters)
1900 Park Fare (we went for breakfast and Dinner). they have differernt characters at breakfast and dinner. The food at breakfast is better but my son had a magical dance with Cinderella during dinner. She came over to our table and asked my son to dance with her...its was a great moment b/c our son doesn't go to stangers or with anyone at that time except me or my husband...

If you are staying at the GFR I would suggest the breakfast at 1900 Park Fare that includes Mary Poppins,Alice, the Mad Hatter and other charaters. The food is very good and the character interacter is great. Your kids will love it.

Personally, I would never waste a table service meal on breakfast, whether you're doing the dining plan or not. To me, it's just not worth the money.

My son loved Chef Mickeys, 1900 Park Fare, and Crystal palace, all for dinner.

Hi! I was going to chime in with T-Rex (although not a character meal). I have 3 boys and we are celebrating 2 of their B-Days at WDW and having their B-Day lunch/dinner at T-Rex (it's their fave). So maybe not for the B-Day, but also another choice for a boy's B-Day trip.

I hope he has a wonderful B-Day, have a great trip!

pooh: We are a Crystal Palace family. It's always on our list of must do's.

We will be having lunch here on the 23, We've done breakfast and dinner this will be our first lunch. I've never been disappointed here. We're big Pooh and Friends fans.

We've done just about all the Character meals over the years, Crystal Palace is one we always return to. It my DH favorite, I also like 1900 Park Fair. Although on our March trip we had dinner at 1900 PF and I was not impressed with the food that night. I hoping it was just a bad night because I do love this place. The Step Mother and Sisters are the best entertainment I've ever had at a character meal. They were awesome.

Ohana character breakfast would be my vote. Chef Mickeys was too rushed and chaotic, but to be fair it was at the end of our trip and the boys were tired.
