I'm going in November with a then 5yr old and 2yr old and want a good character breakfast. I took my son to Chef Mickey's in the Comptempary which was great.

Is there a better one?

If your kids like the Pooh characters, the character breakfast at the Crystal Palace is a good one. The food is good and the character interaction is great!!! Plus, you're already in MK to start your day! :flower:

Soarin' Rocks made a good point~which characters do your children like? also, keep in mind your children's personalities~out-going or shy. based on that, i would make a decision concerning a breakfast. some children "do" better at a quiter breakfast. CP is good and the interaction is great, but keep in mind it is extremely popular. one we enjoy is donald's breakfastasarous in AK. good luck! :earsboy:

I'll second the CP recommendation. We did this twice (thank you, dining plan!) on our last trip and really enjoyed the food,a tmosphere, and character interaction. I will admit that the morning we booked the latest time we could, I felt very rushed at the end of the meal, possibly because the staff needed to do all of the change-over to lunch items. However, the food was good both times - the guy working the pancake station could do not just Mickey pancakes, but Piglet and Tigger, too. :)

We also really enjoyed Donald's Breakfastosaurus, though I know it gets mixed reviews on these boards. My guess is that factors beyond my control would make the difference - crowd size, etc...... We had no lines at the buffet, great waitstaff, and good character interaction, but I suppose that could all change at a busy time.

Thanks to OP for asking this....I was going to post the very same question..

My case is a little different, it's just two grown-ups(23 an 44), do you still recommend the CP? We like all the Disney Characters, I really like Eeyore...but I'm not sure, that we are too outgoing...is that going to be weird?

Also, can you make a breakfast reservation even if you're not staying on-site?

thanks

Rienchen

You don't need to be terribly outgoing for CP. Most of the character interaction was pretty mellow. I saw Tigger acting up a bit, but they seem to do a pretty good job of figuring out who wants to play and who just wants to enjoy.......

I prefer Cinderella's Royal Table (if you can get in), with the Breakfastosaurus a second. We've done Akershus Princess breakfast, Crystal Palace breakfast and Chef Mickey too. We'll do O'Hana & Cape May Buffet breakfasts when we're there in June.

Do you prefer table service or buffet?

I've been to pretty much every character meal there is, with the exception of Norway, over the last four years. No kids of my own, but I have three nephews and a neice we take to Florida about every 2-3 years -- and we've hit several of the character meals as a group of adults as well.

The new addition of Lilo and Stitch to go with my old fav' Pluto and his pal Mickey at O'hana has made this breakfast my absolute favorite, hands down. Stitch and Pluto were outrageously funny -- even playing with each other some! -- great with the kids and fantastic with my December group of six 30-something women who were "not too outgoing" (Pluto proposed and I have the most DARLING picture of it -- dare I say I'm cute in it and I hate having my photo taken!). All age groups seemed to be loving it and I thought it was fantastic for parents of younger kids because it was family style, so no running back and forth to the buffet. The food was great -- a sampling of breads and fruit to start, followed by a platter of eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and Mickey waffles. We loved the unlimited Mickey waffles -- I had them every morning we were there in December and gorged on them at O'hana as it was our last day! Not to mention, Poly is one of the few places to get a decent cup of coffee on Disney property!

Does O'hana's have waffles, bacon, cereal? Read the menu on All Ears and it does'nt seem like a large selection.

Does anyone where I can get a breakdown of which characters are at which breakfast. If that info is in a book, does it change often?

The allears menu is not right the platter (Think WCC Skillet) had eggs, mickey waffles, potatoes, sausage and bacon. A bread basket was served with pinapple bread and raisin bread and we also got a fruit platter. I liked having the food brought to us, rather than the buffet. At CP we missed Tigger because we were up at the buffet.

The character interaction was great too! Saw Stich and Mickey twice, Pluto once, Lilo was in the lobby...I think her head is too big to weave through tables.
