What is the best advice your mom ever gave you?

"noone ever said life was going to always be fair".

i've amended this with my kids to "life is'nt always fair, sometimes it's a circus and you're stuck with the job of cleaning up after the elephants-just be thankful you've still got a job".

My kids are probably tired of hearing me say "life isn't fair, learn that now" or "learn it at home"
