I can't find an answer to this, but know I've seen it somewhere. If points expire on 1/31/09 (use year is Feb), and trip is planned for 1/09 and trip has to be canceled - can those points be banked into II or Buena Vista Trading Company? I know it's too late to bank them with DVC for a Feb use year. Just wonder if trip has to be canceled (due to work issues), will the points just be lost, or can they be banked into II or BVTC for a later trip?

Thanks!

The points can be deposited, usually 160 jor 270 points is best. While you can deposit at under 60 days, you lose significant choices if you do so. You'll actually need to be at 2 months and just over a week to give yourself the best choices as the week deposited needs to be over 60 days. Under 60 days you're likely better throwing yourself on DVC's mercy and hoping they'll make an exception for you or in renting out the points or even the actual reservation if you can't use it.
