what is the 3 year old child rule again?...

we will be spending our sons 3rd bday in the world..when we arrive he is still 2 ( by 5 days) and i recall reading here somewhere that if a child is TURNING 3 during the trip, he's still considered 2...am i right? he turns 3 on our 2nd to last day. the next morning we're leaving.....should i bring a copy of his birth cert. just incase? thanks!

Just let people know he will be celebrating his third birthday while there, but take full advantage of the fact he is under age still.

Our daughter turned three the second day we were there and she stayed at the two year old price the whole way through.

Not when you're turning 3!! It's not like he's getting a bunch of free stuff, just lots of Happy Birthdays.

Get the button if you like, but don't go with the expectation of free gifts. We did the birthday button for dd3, and also several years ago for dd12 (8th birthday). NEVER, I repeat NEVER, did we get a free item. No stuffed animal, no pin. NOTHING. Oh....a free dessert at the restaurant we booked the actual birthday dinner at. I jsut don't want anyone reading this to expect. I am willing to bet it is more likely that no gifts will be given.

I'm sorry; I didn't mean you should expect it. We sure didn't. But each park had a different button and they were good for her scrapbook. Our daughter has an infectious smile and some minor disabilities that draw people to her. I think she just got lucky with the gifts, but it never hurt to have the pin either.
