What is that family scavenger hunt at MK?

Sorry I can't remember the name of it. Has anyone done it? Did you feel silly doing 'goofy' things throughout the park? Do you think it is worth the price? What were the ages of your children? Finally, I remember that at the end you meet up with a character and pick any ride in the park and the character goes on with you. Is this accurate? If so, does each family get a pick or just come to an agreement on the ride and who gets to ride with the character?

It's called the Family Magic Tour, you are asked to help save Magic Kingdom and there are some clues you need to follow, it is fun if you are prepared to be silly. At the end we met Peter Pan and Wendy, although I have heard of other characters being there. Peter and Wendy asked us to join them on Philharmagic, we didn't get to choose. All the kids sat near Peter and Wendy, although obviously only 2 can sit right next to each character, My dd sat with Wendy, but I am not sure how that was decided, I think she was just so busy chatting with Wendy while they waited ot get on the ride that she ended up sitting with her too. We had a lot of adults in our group, so there weren't that many children and noone felt left out.

For a Disney-price adventure it was great. DSs were 3&5 when we went. Not sure what it costs now, but it was $85 for the 4 of us 2 years ago.

My boys were really obsessed with Peter Pan at the time and one of the best memories I will ever have of them as little boys is watching them jump around with PP and chase him to IASW. My boys ended up riding on either side of PP & I have some great photos. We didn't get to pick the ride.

Well worth the price IMO. It's WDW, if people are going to look at a group of 20 of you who are obviously on a tour doing something silly...well than let them!

I just did this yesterday with my 5 and 3 year old and husband. It was one of the best things we have ever done in Disney. Don't read further if you want to be surprised, but since you were asking for more info... here it is.

We had to help our CM save the park from Captain Hook because Peter stole his hook and he was really mad. He threatened to take over the park and run it with pirates. We had a map with clues that we had to follow. The things we had to do were fun... but if you are not a kid at heart you won't enjoy. For example we sang "When You Wish Upon a Star" at the barbershop. We had a blast. Wendy and Peter met up with us and the kids spent a lot of time with them. We played follow the leader with Peter and played Freeze as we were waiting to get onto Philharmagic. Sitting in the front seat at Philharmagic was amazing. I never though it mattered where you sat.

This was such a special time for my family and I never stopped smiling! Hope was our guide and she was great. Peter Pan and Wendy had me in stitches. They know how to have a good time.

you call Dining to make a reservation...there is no age limit but they only have one a day and only take 20...I was not able to book it this time..but I do keep checking...when we did it a few years ago we met Al & Jas.

We are doing this on Dec 2 and are very excited! It sounds SO COOL My kids will be thrilled (SHHH....it's a surprise). Also, FYI, you can get a discount on this tour if you book it using your Disney Visa Card. I forget how much, though
