A FEW QUESTIONS:

What is Tea with Wendy?
Is it for kids only?
Does it happen only one time?
Is it worth going to?

Anyone got pics??

Thanks a BUNCH!!

If you have a Passporter, it describes this as an event on the 7 night cruise, which is free, but requires a ticket. Mainly for young girls, but open to everyone. Wendy from Peter Pan reads aloud and offers a lesson on how to serve tea. Runs about 30 mins. and cookies are served along with the tea. Photograph with Wendy afterwards. Sounds fun to me! ::MinnieMo

It is open to anyone, and a parent must accompany the children. "Wendy" selects 2 boys from the audience to play the parts of her brothers. She then serves tea to them and instructs the audience in the proper way to take an English tea (of course, it is hot chocolate for the kids). It is done twice on the 7 day cruises, on sea days. It lasts about 45 minutes including photos with Wendy afterwards. It is a nice little event, geared to the 5-9 year old set.

If interested, go to Guest Services for tickets shortly after boarding as they will go quickly.

"Is it worth going to?"

Cruisers are divided on this one. We attended w/our DD (who was 7 at the time.) She normally loves the character meals at WDW. This was not as good. (IMHO.)

If there is another event your children would rather attend at the same time, skip this one.

My DD5 (who is a Peter Pan fanatic) had three words to say after our "tea" (cold tea)
THAT WAS BORING!
Never again will I waste my time on it..........Sorry to burst your bubble.....

During our 3-day cruise, tickets to Wendy's party were distributed a couple of days prior to the event. During our cruise, the tickets were distributed in the morning so I got out of bed early and got in line. However there were tickets still available after the line had diminished and I was able to get additional tickets.

It's something to do and our the highlight is having to get your photograph taken in an orderly fashion. Seating is first come first serve and of course it is better to sit towards the front and near the main aisle.

If I remember accurately, they dismiss you to take the photos by sections so it was pretty orderly. It also gave Wendy a few seconds to chat with my daughter.

Well, I guess as with everything. 'boring' is in the eye of the beholder. I just though I'd provide the other side of the coin so you could get an idea of what to do. I took my youngest to the Tea and he happened to be a boy age 6. My other son decided to join us too - he was 12 at the time. And no, it was not a pirate adventure, it was a very civilized tea. But they both had a fun time and my younger son still occasionally will use his "serviette" instead of his napkin, and remembers not to eat until all are served. We had a very nice time, and found it very entertaining. But it is on the lower end of the excitemen scale. So judge according to what you know about your children, and have a great time! Just another family's opinion.

Thanks allears for providing another opinion ~ after reading the other reviews I think perhaps our seat location may have been the problem. The fact that they use studio sea as the setting doesn't help ~ I found the table too small. I may try it again sometime and go earlier so that we can hear Wendy better and be more involved!
