I'm thinking of a possible ADR change and I would love to hear some feedback about Spoodles on the Boardwalk. Is there any outdoor seating? Is it a good spot for a 10yr. old? How about non-seafood eaters? Any other place on the Boardwalk you can suggest? :confused3

THANK YOU (AGAIN!!!!)

Spoodles is a casual, Mediterranean style restaurant with influences from Italian, Spanish and Greek foods. There is some seafood but not a dominance of it. I think a 10 yr. old would like it. They don't actually serve outside, but they do have a take-out pizza window, which you can eat at one of the first-come-first-serve tables outside. Here is a link to the dinner menu.

Last July we were encouraged by the server to get the add ons. We were not charged extra. Perhaps someone who has recently been willl let us know if it has changed. We do have plans to eat here again this trip. All in all it was a very good meal - excellent Sangria :drinking1

We were there just last week. I can honestly say we all loved it, kids, dh all of us. The service was unbeatable, the pleasantness of the waiter was tops. The food selction was wide ranged. We were so full when we left.
I can not say enough good things about it.
We were on the Dining Plan and my dd got to order a strawberry daquri (minus the alchol of course). It was wonderful.
We also ate at the ESPN club last year on the boardwalk and the children loved that as well.

I recently changed one of my ADRs to there and looking foward to it!

One of our new favs!

Wait staff encourages you to add shrimp & scallops (got to build up that automatic 18% tip on the DP;) ).

Everything was excellent. I & DS had the non-alcholic Sangria. DH had the full-test one ($9 w/tip automatically added - pricey IMO).

Only negative is that it's noisy & I'm not sure I'd want to be seated by the open kitchen area. Would hate to pay OOP...almost $200 for 2 A & 1 C.

We were there in January and have an ADR for September. I thought it was pretty good (good enough that we want to go back). The Mediterrian Dip appetizer was excellent. I'm not sharing it with DH when we go back! I'm veggie and they were quite accomodating to me. DH had the steak with a shrimp add on. Desserts were good too. Kids meals are more of an issue for us this time and from the allearsnet.com menus, they look pretty good. It was a very good value on the dining plan (over $100 for DH and I...with a veggie entree), but it is also a good (meaning loud) environment for kids.

Happy to hear the great reviews as I've got an ADR @ Spoodles for DH's birthday dinner.

We enjoyed it a lot last December--so much that we're going back again next month! That Mediterranean dips appetizer was amazing (and HUGE), so I'm really looking forward to another one of those. It's also a nice break from EPCOT or MGM, and was easier to get into without ADR's (though probably not during free dining).

We'll be on the dining plan this time, so thanks for the heads up about the shrimp/scallops add-ons being included on the DDP, and about the virgin foo-foo drinks for the kids. I still can't believe they can each get a flatbreak appetizer and then a dinner--we won't be hungry that night! Anyone remember if the dessert platter had to be shared between two people, or whether you could each order one (where is the big, fat pig smilie when I need one)?

Do they not have table service outside now? I remember sitting outside a few years ago when it got quite chilly in the evening and a lovely waiter draped me in napkins because I was feeling cold ;) I have an ADR for Spoodles and was looking forward to eating outside on our trip in a couple of weeks. :cool1:

Yes, the dessert platter was meant for sharing...same @ LeCellier.

I am so glad someone asked this question. I was looking at Spoodles last night while trying to narrow down our dining options. I think we will book this one because none of us have been to the Boardwalk area. This will be a nice opportunity.

We ate there last week, two adults with DD 5 & DD 3. We really enjoyed it, food was very good, sangria was good, kids had pizza and they enjoyed it as well. The kids also will enjoy the Sweet Shop next door after dinner.

It seems everyone likes dinner at Spoodles. I've planned a breakfast (no ADR yet). What about your breakfast experiences?
