Last year my family and I visited Orlando, but only did Universal Studios and wet and wild. This year we are staying 8 days and are doing disney activities. There are so many things I wished I did differently like....

1. Made sure the cap was off my camcorder so i could see all those many hours i taped (i had just bought a sharp viewcam, so i could see, and didn't realize the cap was on)

2. Took more pictures, I bought 3 disposal camera and only one came out clearly (i bought cheap ones)

3. Left early in the morning instead of the afternoon thinking i'd avoid the crowds) - Daaah!!!!!

4. Stayed longer than 4 days.

What's your I wish i would of at disney?

Every year, twice a year, have been times we
visited three times a year, and always forget to
sit back and relax. We know we will be back, why
get up at the crack of dawn to get to the rides?
We LOVE Disney - don't want to miss a thing, but
the resorts are best - always 'forget' to take
advantage of them......

Slowed down!!
We were afraid that our first visit to WDW would be our last so we missed lots of little details. This time(we loved it so much we joined the DVC:D )we are going to spend more time just enjoying all that WDW has to offer. It is so hard though, because I want to do EVERYTHING!!!

There are two things right off the top of my head that I wish we had done on our last trip(our 1st trip as a family) to WDW- I wish we had gone to the other three parks(AK,DS & Epcot) along with the MK and I wish we had slowed the pace down. We used one of the plans in the Unofficial Guide to WDW and while I think it helped us to avoid long waits , we were so intent on making it to the next attraction that I think we missed out on just "being there". We are going again in Dec. 2004 and we will be going to all the parks this time around :D .

Spent more time at the waterparks. They always end up being the best part of our trips.

Make sure you catch all of the live entertainment shows. Many people just concentrate on the rides and these usually have the longest wait times. Get one of the Show Times Guides when you get to the parks and plan your schedule around catching the shows as well. The entertainment quality is first rate and in many cases there is no waiting to see them. Unfortunately, my favorite show, The Diamond Horseshoe Revue closed recently. The next best show in my opinion is the Streetmosphere players at Disney-MGM. Make sure you catch the magicians act. He's the best!!!

This trip we will be enjoying the resort more. We'll still be going to the parks, but just in the mornings. Hope to see Cirque, plan an evening around Fantasmic, that type of thing. Get the full impact without commando type days.

Brought 2-way radios! We met up with DSIL and DN for the last 5 days, and spent far too much time waiting for them. We would have been able to get in a lot more Epcot if we could have just told them where to go once they got to the park. (Don't get me wrong, it was great having them, but their notion of pacing is different).

Ciao,
Mort.

I wish that I would not have believed all the people that say AK is a half day park. We put off going there until later in our trip and then it was too late to spend more time there. We loved it. I can't wait to go back in December. We have 2 days planned for Animal Kingdom. I am pretty sure we will get to see most all of it this time. Mickey

Go from my normal -5 day- 4 park- and trips over kind of thinking to Vacationis relaxation mode. Last year I took my sister and her 4 kids but it rained one whole day and was cold all the others (mid- November reaching only mid-60's) and since I had a 2 1/2 month old and she had a 10 month old, we didn't risk them getting sick, so we went back to the hotel. :( :(
So from last year, we have to do everything. So I added in some extra nights for relaxing (total 12 night stay). :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Let our DS do more of what he wants and not just what we like to do and see.

I wish we would have taken the time to see more shows. We seem to always bypass these, though I have seen Beauty and the Beast show years ago.

I also wish we would have taken time to relax, which we will do this trip. This will be the 1st trip we have taken just the 2 of us since our honeymoon, so relaxing is on the top of our list!

Just strolling and taking it all in. My DH laughs everytime I tell him I LOVE the "smell" of Disneyworld...he says it smells like dead fish, but to me, it smells perfect :-)

I agree with the second video-camera battery- that was our mistake four years ago! I bought an extra just before our last trip because of the mistake the trip before!
I wish I would have 'relaxed' more and watched my DD and DS's expressions more. We are a commando -type family, which is OK. But once we get to an attraction or ride, I like to look at their faces- after all, all that running around is for them. Sometimes I got so caught up in everything working out, I forgot why I did it!

Not a thing - we were there for 3 weeks and had a fantastic time!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish we had gone to see Fantasmic on one of our first nights. We saved it for the end and on the last two nights - thunderstorms!

I wish I had seen Illuminations........I have been there twice in the past five years and I still have not seen Illuminations. This is a must do on my next trip!

I wish I was smarter than the average bear and thought about Florida water ...We used the Britta bottles but that only helped with the taste not every thing else that was in the water. I spent the last three days on our trip sick with stomach cramps and the last day with worse than cramps.... Oh don't forget the ice in your drinks is also from Florida water...
