What is on YOUR holiday wishlist?

I really, really want a new coffee table. The one we have now was bought cheap 26 years ago. It's looking pretty rough now.

Other than that I already have what I want and need.

I use the app on my phone called SANTAS BAG. I would be lost without this!! It is free and then if you want you can do the upgraded 2.99 version. Last year I did free and b/c I loved it so much I upgraded but honestly there isn't much difference! You can track what you want, where it is, cost and every recipient on your list. It is the best thing invented I think, lol! Even tracks your budget and you can notate if it is a wish, gift, what status it is in, etc. then whey I go shopping it pulls up a master list of what is missing off everyone's list - easy shopping list!

I can't find it in the app store. Is it available for the I Phone?

The same thing I want every year

For my son to be "magically" healed of all his physical and mental disabilities.
It will never happen :sad1:

Material wise

Pretty topaz heart shaped jewelry
AP tickets to Disney
k cup coffee machine for work

I want that too, for my son. I'd take it over anything else.

Button up sweaters for work because I'm the only one cold.
Compression leg sleeves because my socks are getting worn out.
Chew toys for my chinchillas because after a while the toys add up...especially for 7 of them:rotfl:

A Pearl white Buick Encore.....

But I'll just keep wishing .......

We're not big on material "stuff". We don't enjoy collecting or acquiring a lot of things. If we need/want clothes, a technology upgrade, or whatever during the year, we get them when the time (and price) is right. DS just got the new iphone 6+ a month ago, and a new laptop last week. Both DH and I have purchased new Samsung Galaxy tablets in the past month. So when Christmas rolls around, there's not a lot of stuff on our wish lists to ask for.

This year we just wanted time to decompress from our busy everyday lives and enjoy the holiday season together without interruptions. DH and I desperately want/need a getaway from the everyday.....so we have booked a 5 day trip to Niagara Falls with DS and his GF. That is our gift to each other, so no additional shopping is necessary.

We have been marvelling, as the season approaches, how nice it is to have a "giftless" Christmas coming up. Its allowing us to enjoy the spirit and the peace of the holiday season much more than if we're combing the malls for "just the right thing".

What I really want: All the videos that we've taken here and there on iphones, the video camera, etc--- all cobbled together so they are easily accessible and burned onto a DVD and stored in some other form so they can't be lost.

What I'll ask for: Vera Bradley Tote and matching wallet in the new cherry blossom pattern (but only if purchased with a coupon code =) & and iPhone 6

What I'll get: dishtowels, earrings bought at Kohl's on xmas eve, various kitchen utensils........

.....and I'll end up buying the iPhone 6 for myself (so I'll get that in the end)!

I love this idea! I tried it a few years ago. We went away for Christmas to a perfect Christmas lodge-type house. Our girls loved it, even though they only got a few presents. It was such a relief from the pressure of holiday cooking, shopping, etc. For some reason, even though we cooked our holiday meal, it didn't have the same stress for me as it does at home. We're doing it again this year!

However, the rest of the family doesn't understand how stressful I find the holidays. Frankly, I HATE the extended family gift marathon, but I'm the only one. I can't help feeling cheap when I'm giving one gift, usually homemade, and everyone else gives a pile. It feels like we're celebrating the wrong things when we sit around opening presents in a circle for 2 hours.

Most of my requests are pretty lame (e.g., umbrella), but I decided to put a laminator on there because of all the crafty stuff I'm going to be doing for our upcoming Disney trip.

I want these things:

large silver hoop earrings
Disney Pandora charms
scrapbook store gift cards
(my sister went to Disney a few months ago- I asked her to get me something I would like-we'll see if she did)

Won't get anything but the earrings probably. I love my hubby dearly- BUT sometimes it's like he doesn't know what I like after 18 years of marriage. :lmao: Half the time I buy the stuff I want myself, and let him wrap it. My DD12 likes to see us open our gifts, otherwise he probably wouldn't even do that.

I am not a "thing" person. MIL gives the adult childen $. My mom & I are close--she likes to give gifts, so I try to tell her something I need that I would normally go get myself so she can give a gift.

DH & I travel; I told him many years ago, stop stressing about what to get me, that I'd rather not get stuff, I'd rather spend the $ traveling. Holidays are about family for us. The children have picked up on this, as they would mostly rather have experiences than stuff, too.

I remember a friend being horrified that I have nothing to open Xmas morning--nope, haven't for years, don't miss it a bit! But I am truly a crabby gal if I don't have a trip in the wings!:cool1:

Oh I like this thread!

Thank you to whomever posted about the Disney Pandora charms. I don't have a Pandora bracelet, but I have asked for one for Christmas (the braided leather one not the traditional one)

Other things on my list:
Carhart coat
Tigi Bedhead shampoo (the giant bottles)
camera
watch
32oz Hydro Flask - in red
A funny softball shirt I saw
silver earrings
earbuds

I want a new black pea coat and comfortable black leather shoes to wear to the lab/work.

I told my parents to each sign up for the Disney visa with the referral reward thing and they will each earn 200.00 in Disney giftcards so they are giving me 400 for my birthday next month which costs them nothing, lol! So really what else could a girl ask for????
Great thinking!:thumbsup2
