I know there's now a sort of set priced (1 credit) menu for people on the DDP. With this you can get an appetizer, entree, dessert. Can anyone tell me exactly what is on this menu?

Can't remember all of it and didn't waste camera card space taking pictures of food/menus. I remember for sure the cheddar beer soup and the ravioli. I think the salmon was one. Creme brulee for dessert, one, maybe two other dessert choices. No steak option here, so I didn't get it.

Hope someone else can tell you the others...

Sorry, I'm confused  ! LeCellier has a special menu just for people on the dining plan that still includes an appetizer? Is this for lunch or dinner or both? Does only LeCellier do this or are there others that still include an appetizer even though the 2008 DDP isn't supposed to include the appetizer?? Hmmmm.....

Nope, no steak! Prime Rib is one of the other entrees offered. As far as I know, it is a special only offered at Le Cellier & you do not have to be on DDP for it. I think it is maybe to entice people (on DDP) into a less expensive, non-steak meal.

????
I never heard of a separate menu either. If anyone is looking for a REALLY good steak, Kona Cafe at Poly was YUMMY per my DH and DS.

It is not FOR the dining plan - anyone can order it - but they will let you order from this "pilot menu" if you are on the dining plan. And yes, the appetizer is included, even on the basic dining plan. The pilot menu does not include any of the more expensive cuts of meat, so if you want beef I think you are restricted to prime rib. But you'd get an appetizer.

I don't order beef usually so I actually thought a prime rib WAS a steak.

Only Le Cellier is offering at this time. I think it is an experiment to see if basic dining plan users will be willing to give up the expensive entrees to get an appetizer. If it works out in Disney's favor I would not be surprised to see this in more restaurants.

Wow I sure hope they are offering this when we go this winter. By the way, I have been unable to get a dinner res for LeCellier during our upcoming visit 12/14 thru 12/19/08, but was able to make a lunch res on 12/16. If anyone will be there then and for some reason you need to cancel your LeCellier dinner res, or you'd like to trade a lunch for a dinner, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. Thank you! :thumbsup2
