Is this similar to the "Who Wants to be a Mouseketeer" game show?

Do you think a 4 and 5 year old would be in to the Mickey Mania? Is there audience participation?

How about the Family Trivia? What is that like? And the "So You Think You Know Your Family?"

I'm just trying to figure out what the kids would like to do best. Believe it or not, even though they are young, they love the game show type stuff, especially if they can participate!

Thanks for any info you have!

I'm not sure about the others, but I know that Mickey Mania is a game show for four teams of two in Studio Sea. The questions are fairly easy and are general Disney questions about the characters, movies and parks. When the CMs are choosing the teams, they like to choose a parent and a child, so if you're with one of your kids, you have a good chance of being picked. I've played twice and its always fun, especially for the little ones. At the end, the winners get medals and all the participants get tokens saying that they played the game! It is a lot of fun and a great chance for a photo opportunity since the teams have to wear these large, oversized character hats.

I hope this helps,

Nicole

You're more likely to be picked for the family game shows if you're a little bit crazy (think picking up your child and having them waving like crazy!)

So you think you know your family is something like the newlywed game, but for families. They split the pair (parent/child) up and ask one person a question, then bring the other one out to see if they can answer.

There's a walk the plank game that my DD and DH played. Basically every wrong answer moves you further out on the plank. DD dumped DH into the drink, but they had a great time playing!

And yes, I think a 4 year old would love Mickey Mania! One section involved a disney character picture all distorted and the first one to recognize the picture won. The trivia questions are pretty simple too (along the lines of who is Donald's girlfriend?) They encourage everyone, even the one's who are pretty far behind, and all the contestants get a little trinket (a coin, pin, or small DCL mug).

The game shows are fun to watch even if you don't get picked. The Cruise Staff do a great job with them.

The audience in Mickey Mania should keep their answers to themselves while the contestants are answering them.

In Walk The Plank, the "host" of the show give and takes points at random, and the points really don't mean anything in deciding who wins the game. At one point, the host's helper even encourages cheating - it's a riot.

Unfortunately these shows are usually at the same time as the family cabarette shows in Rockin' Bar D (on the 7 nights). These shows feature singers, jugglers, magicians, comedians and are a lot of fun for everyone too.

Decisions, Decisions - and hard ones at that
