They are advertising for a "little ones" EMH at WDW during our Sept. trip. What makes this different from regular EMH? There is almost no information on it! Will it be really crowded? I have always heard to STAY AWAY :crowded: from all EMH, but if we are there in September it may not be an issue...Thoughts?

hi there! i believe this is when Fantasyland opens one hour earlier :)

They are pushing September towards families with little ones not in school. i read it in a magazine ad.

I assume it is open to all on-site guests???? We will be there in Sept.!!!

i believe so i am doing a search, i think it's part of Magical Beginnings....i will post if i find any more info :)

Disney's Magical Beginnings

Disney World has a 7-week "Little Ones Travel Time", August 13 to Sept. 30 2006, with:

special packages (-book by June 4!)
special concerts
early Extra Magic Hours in Fantasyland for the toddler set (which sets them up nicely for afternoon nap break)

The first link is the official WDW site and the second link is an article from which that quote came from:

I just wonder if it will make the park MORE crowded or LESS crowded? :confused3

It's very unclear whether Magical Beginnings is anything other that Disney's already in place perks wrapped up in different packaging. If MK actually gets additional EMH, then maybe I'll think it's something different. But I can't see them limiting it to only people with toddlers.

My2Tinks:

It is for all WDW resort guests:

Extra Magic Hours for Resort Guests:
Guests at Disney Resorts already benefit from general Extra Magic Hours.(Every day, at least one theme park opens early or stays open late just for resort guests.) And now come special-edition Extra Magic Hours for tiny visitors: Fantasyland -- the primo spot for preschoolers --at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on select days. Fantasyland has faves such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Peter Pan's Flight. (Guests need Resort ID and a park admission; the Extra Magic Hours are free.)
More goodies for preschoolers at WDW:
Character dining with Disney characters is always a hit with wee kids, and some new faces are arriving this summer: JoJo and Goliath from Playhouse Disney and other characters will do greets at Disney-MGM Studios.
Also new is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, at World of Disney in Downtown Disney. Fancy hairstyles, costumes, glittery nails... Meanwhile,in an interactive Adventure Room, boys and girls can fill treasure chests and generally act pirate-like.
Meanwhile, planning tools at the Disney web sites help parents zero in on the best spots for preschoolers; and in the parks, maps will highlight attractions for different ages

This info is from the link titeld ARTICLE

I don't think the parks will be any more crowded than normal at this time.

This is not limited to people with toddlers, they are just trying to bulk up their attendance during the begiining of the school year/hurrican season. They figure if they market it towards the younger set, then it works all the better for them :)

I will check the EMH schedule for when the package is due to begin.

I just don't understand why they would call it "little ones" EMH if they didn't have activities/ rides geared for little ones...if it is just a regular EMH - call it EMH  ..I know that they are just marketing it differently, but they have NO information posted anywhere about it (other than the name change)! :rotfl2:

I think they are calling it "little ones" EMH since ONLY Fantasyland will be open. For a regular EMH, all the lands are open. This EMH will be on Sundays, Weds & Fridays during the Magical Beginnings promo time. Any resort guest can attend but since only Fantasyland is open, I personally think it will be crowded.
