I just found out that we can't cruise when I wanted to :headache:  So I am now looking at July. What is that like? I imagine it would be terribly HOT! :sunny: We would go western carribean. AACKKKK HELP!

I would like to know too, as we're booked for the July 2006 Costa Maya w/the CC double-dip.

I'm somewhat concerned about hurricanes, but am praying that there won't be any. :earsgirl:

we did the western june 26-july 1, 2004. grand cayman was temperate, but key west, mexico and castaway key were unbearably hot. look for shade on cc. if you do any shore excursions bring plenty of water.

See there is a group of 11 of us travelling and DW and I really don't care much for the heat. As such, we're sort of worried that the high temperatures will spoil our trip. We're on the Jul 08/06 eastern cruise, and sadly thats the only time we can go since the rest of our group is stuck on that weekend.

It's just really going to be sad if you cant sit down in the shade/anywhere without sweat pouring off of you. Such an uncomfortable feeling.

Hi Mickeyhugger!! We are on the same cruise as you, July 22,06!!
I am really worried about the heat too. I am not fond of hot weather, but as my DH puts it, thats why the inside of the ship has AC..lol

I have cruised a couple of times in July, both times the water was very calm, as long as the ship was moving it was great, (warm wind in your hair!!), but at ports it was HOT!. CC was HOT!!!, if you stayed in the water you were ok, but remember that sunscreen!. I'm cruising July 24, 2005 hoping to avoid the hurricanes!!--heat I can handle-hurricanes are a different story. Have FuN!

We are also going on our second DCL cruise on this date. We are so excited to go to Costa Maya and CC twice. We live in the midwest and after this terrible winter we are not very picky about the weather as long as it doesn't snow:) My entire family is going and right now we are a group of 18 on that sailing.

Come on July 2006!!!

DH and I have sailed the eastern in July twice...hot, but not unbearable. Remember, you're in the Caribbean, and the tradewinds will blow! The breeze makes it Heavenly! (of course, I am a warm weather person) :sunny:

Hi BethiPooh! Glad to meet a fellow cruiser.

For all of you who warn of how HOT it's going to be, how hot are we talking? I'm from North Central Texas, and have endured (endured, not liked, LOL!) numerous HOT summers. I endure them by staying indoors with the AC blasting on me.

Do CC and the Mexican ports have high humidity? I don't mind heat so much, but humidity, is, well, I'll stay on the Magic at the spa! :cool1:
