What is it like in early June?

I was thinking about maybe June 10th to perhaps the 16th or 17th. What is the weather like and most important how are the crowds? We have gone in October before, and the crowds are nothing. I remeber summer crowds being unbearable when we last went during summertime, but this is early June and most schools are still in session. Thanks a lot.

I have to tell you the truth, the last time I went in June was in 1999. It was hot and horrible. We were there the 12th through the 18th if I remember correctly. Compared to Oct (and I've been there then as well) the crowds were very large. I know that around where I live, school gets out about the 6-15th depending and people head down immediately. If you go then just be sure you know that there will be long lines and fairly hot (it reached 100 one of our days)

I like October and early Feb, but I've been in June.

Early June is very crowded compared to October or early Feb. And its very hot compared to October. But it is neither hot nor crowded compared to the middle of July.

Our kids are still little, so its still October for us. But when we need to conform to school, we will go to as early in June as we can manage.

We were fall visitors until DS got too old to take out of school for extended period of times, so we went to early June three years ago. I was worried about the crowds but was pleasantly surprised with the crowds not being unbearable. I did notice a few years ago, the crowds increased dramatically the weekend of Father's Day and thereafter, most probably due to all the schools being out. You know, Fastpass makes a big difference in the waits, now.

A good thing, at least for me, is that I can enjoy the water parks in June. The water parks are too cold for me in the fall. The bad thing is the heat is pretty intense compared to October. In October, though, you have to keep an eye on hurricaines. Ten to one, half dozen the other, huh?

When our kiddos get out of the house, I suspect we will head to WDW in the fall again because of the milder (a little) weather.

That week is not quite yet the full summer crowd but it is still a lot more crowded than October. Weather is hot and humid (including at night) and it can rain quite a bit. 2002 at that time of year was mostly sun with a couple of thunderstorms a day. The week after it rained everyday for 14 hours out of every 24.

We are going at roughly the same time frame in June. Everyone says the heat and humidity are much worse than even what I have experienced going previously in April and May. Also, regarding crowds, I may be   , but I think with FastPass, our accultade knowledge about WDW, and our willingness to be flexible, the crowds will be very manageable.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but can anyone compare Early June crowds to those the week after Christmas? In the last few years, the week between Christmas and New Years has been the only week we've been able to go to the World. So, I am hoping the June crowds will seem nonexistant compared to Christmas week.

The week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest week of the year at WDW, so any other week should seem less crowded to you! I am going in June this year for the first time, June 3rd-6th. We normally arrive on New Year's Day. I'm expecting the crowds to be at about the same level. My son wants a summer trip so he can enjoy the pools and go to a water park. It's been freezing the last 3 years in early January.

I go each June first or second week. I've been once for NYE and Day. There's no comparison between the two, from what I've seen. I've also been several times off season (mostly September and October). It seems to me that the crowds in early June are, of course, much heavier than September, but quite a bit more doable than mid-July. New Years Eve and Day gives new meaning to full. I'd say the crowds the first week of June will be close to half those of New Years.

Thanks for your answers...I have a feeling that any crowds we find will seem "doable" compared to our last couple of trips...the shortest stan-by line I have seen on RRC in the past few trips has been 2 1/2 hours, fastpasses gone by 11:30.
