I can’t tell if this is a destination where you park and then walk all around. We have NYE dinner reservations at Sugar Factory and we are trying to figure out if we go early, can we walk around the area? Or will we have to get back in the car. Will this area be very crowded on NYE? Thanks!

It is a small group of attractions (Sea Life Aquarium, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Star Flyer and The Wheel plus a few smaller and less notable features....think arcades, 4D theaters, etc) surrounded by an assortment of restaurants. There is a large parking garage adjacent to the complex where you can park for free. They have a small train (similar to those you see at the mall) which families can ride for a fee.

I think most places in Orlando will be busy on NYE, if the crowds at the theme parks this week are any indication.

You can absolutely walk around the area without having to get back in your car.

Thanks! Is the wheel a nice experience?

We really enjoy it. I'm terrified of heights, but I don't mind The Wheel at all. The pods don't rock or sway, and the rotation is so slow you hardly feel it. On a clear day, the views can be pretty spectacular. Right now is a good time to ride the Wheel, because they are only putting one family in each pod.....so it's nice and private with tons of space.
