Hi everyone,
We are traveling to the World for the 2nd time May 6th - 11th. We are having problems finding availability the first night of our stay. We have looked at many of the moderates (deluxe is out of budget) and a lot of the off site resorts (DTD mostly). I have found out that the first night there is either nothing available or the rooms are really expensive!!
For example, I looked at Dreams Unlimited to see what rates at the Gaylord Palms were for this week. They have a promotional rate going on right now for $159 per night (a great deal!), but the first night is $469!!!
I have found similar results elsewhere (Hilton, Doubletree, etc.)
What is going on that day??!!
It is a Tuesday in early May? Is there a way to check and see if there is a large convention, sporting event, or some other event that would be driving prices so high for our first night?
