What is going on next weekend?

My daughter and I are trying to plan an extremely last minute trip for the 9th-12th. A lot of hotels in the area are sold out, and it seems like prices are higher for the ones still available. We have tried to search to see if some special event is going on, but can't find anything. Does anyone know of something we are missing?

It's considered the "Valentine's weekend" this year...plenty of people probably doing couples weekends...

SO is any year that Valentine's Day falls after that weekend or just before considered Valentine's weekend?? Never heard of that one, only when it actually falls on the weekend like last year!! MK was jammed packed last year on Valentine's Day (Sunday), didn't expect it to be so bad this year with it being on a Tuesday...so basically any year if it's within 5 days of Valentine's Day it's considered Valentine's weekend?? Which is every year pretty much
