I agree, I would like to know! We are taking some first timers in April and I would hate it if it was covered!

they are building a new ride... called Toy Story Midway Madness...

As for the castle, i believe is short because it wasnt scheduled. I dont have a clue either.

I really hope that it is completely down by the time we go there on Feb 10th. Otherwise I will be totally bummed!! I even bought a new camera to take pictures of the fireworks over the castle!

Undoing the pretty castle for the 50th and bringing it back to its old state. I feel kind of sad about it. The lamp posts are all being painted green too. No more gold.

What's left to undo? I thought it was all taken down before the Christmas deco's were up.

I'd say it's the Christmas deco's going down, but this looks like it might be a lot more than that.

I probably have missed this but, what on earth could take 5 months to do on Splash it is one of my favorites and I am trying to swing a spring trip but, if splash is down.... then I may have to rethink it.....

Plus, what is the toy story ride supposed to be like? from the name is it like autotopia?

Lastly, when are the subs supposed to open this year?

Well they've been fancy-in up the castle in Florida with a new paint job and some touch ups here and there. So, I'm sure they just want to make sure that Sleeping Beauty's castle is still as pretty and grand as the one in Florida. The wall is a bit of an eyesore, but you should have seen the crane in Florida. Eeeps!

They are doing something with the lift mechanisms in splash hence the long refurb. I haven't heard much about the toy story ride. Subs are supposed to open June 11.

Most Christmas decor was already removed, and so were the crowns. I think it's just going back to the plain ol' before the 50th castle. Sorta sad for me.

As of this morning the castle is half opened so you can walk through it. It's still boarded up quite a bit though.

I was told they are "touching it up, cleaning it, making it beautiful from the removal of the holiday decor."

The CM I talked to would not even come close to quoting me an "all clear" date.
