What is going on at Disney in October 2003?

I have been trying to get a 2br anywhere on the resort for October 13-17 and it seems to be impossible. Is there something going on that week? Also, does anyone know if they do the electric light parade and fireworks during the week?

The EPCOT Internationl Food & Wine Festival opens on Oct. 18th.
And if you are refering to 2 bedroom units at any of the DVC resorts, the points are lower during Oct and because of this Oct. has become very popular amongst the membership!

There is also the huge press event for the opening of Mission Space, and the new fireworks show at MK. and the announcment of the new "celebration" taking place.

Is the Press Event on 10-9?
That is the day that the WS closes at 3:00 pm

It's also the week that a lot of school systems in Georgia are on break-and we'll be IN THE WORLD!!

i will be down for the Happy haunts event in late october.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned October's premier event: MNSSHP.

If I'm not mistaken, it's scheduled just about every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday.

It has also become a very popular month for conventions at the various resorts at WDW. At one time October was considered "off-peak" but not anymore since resort rooms are tough to come by.
