What is "Free Dining"?

Someone responded to my post on visiting the WL and asked if I had "Free Dining", what the heck is that?

A promotion Disney offers for travel dates around the last week of August until the end of September. You must book by mid-June, if you buy a package (Room & Tickets) you will get the standard DDP for free during your stay.

If visiting this year during the free dining plan period you have the option of rebooking again for next year called BOUNCEBACK you will be offered the free DDP again.....please make sure you ASK. Don't assume.

We got free basic DDP last year. Then they offered a new dedluxe plan for this year. We got the free basic plan and upgraded to the deluxe DDP (DxDDP). Make sure you look for it next April.
