What is first thing you do at animal kingdom

YIKES! I have never, ever planned a trip like that!

Well, in all honesty, neither have I, but the alternate entertainment acts are purely optional. I would love to catch every one of them, but I doubt that it will happen. This was my best attempt to work them all in. Part of AK's charm is catching these sort of acts....at least it is in my opinion.

Since this is such a short trip for us and this is the only park that we will have a full day to attend, I wanted to work a plan that would be as memorable as possible. So, I worked my way through the park on my terms with info on the acts from Steve Soares' site and this is the OMG, intense looking plan of attack....this is not an itinerary, it's a plan of attack.....way too intense to be just another itinerary. lol

I will gladly post a trip report next weekend when we return home. Maggie

We normally go to AK the first morning after we arrive in the US. The jet lag helps us get up nice and early so we can do the safari ride first thing - I've been told the animals are more active then.
However, now Expedition Everest is open I think we may change this, or do a detour to pick up Fastpasses first.

The absolute first thing we do is get our picture taken with the tree....then we head to EE....

We typically head to Kilimanjaro Safari and FP is needed!

As of this year, the first thing I do is get a FP for Everest. Love that ride!

It has always been the safari...but now the Expedition:Everest is open...it will be our new first stop.

Usually Safari if we are there at the gate for the opening. DW won't go on EE, so I can use the Singles line later in the day and not worry about too much of a wait.

Stop for a Photopass picture before the humidity of the park does me in! Then it's off to the safari.

We used to head straight back the safari ourselves, then to Kali. Course now we head to EE and get fastpasses.

But the other 2 are still high up on the list.

But now I'm wondering if we shouldn't just try to get on EE first like so many others ;)

Maggie I will be there from the 19-24 so PLEASE let me know which park you are going to be in so I wont get hurt. Seriously, I thought I planned But you are my idol. My wife always make fun of me because of my planning. Does your spouse follow this plan of attack with you?

:rotfl: Well, Gabby really has no option! She gave up on understanding my addiction to planning a long time ago. She does realize though that my plans normally work out really well. She knows that while I can plan like a fiend, if they don't go quite as planned, it's alright, we are just there to see what we can see and have a great time.

Also, for your information, lol, we will be at MGM on 9/20 most likely arriving around 2pm. We do AK on 9/21. We will be shopping our way through DTD in the morning on 9/22 and enjoying the MK and MNSSHP starting at about 4pm that evening until they force us out the gates just after midnight. We fly home the next afternoon. So, you can safely park tour on 9/19 and 9/24! Otherwise, watch out! ;) Maggie

We usually head straight to the safari. But, now that Expedition Everest is open, we will have to change our plan.

 Expedition Everest  over and over and over.

at least this is what we did last time we visited! Previous EE we would walk around the Oasis taking pictures and looking for Animals, followd up w/ more Animals on Kilimanjaro Safari (w/ a FP of course :thumbsup2).

Now AK is a whole new "Animal" w/ the addition of EE.

In the past, we've done Dinosaur first. But in December we'll be heading to EE and will probably FP either Dinosaur or KS before hitting EE.

Kilamanjaro Safari, or Rafiki's planet Watch (they will sometimes have exotic animals out & about in the mornings & they love to show them off!), another ride would be Expedition Everest since it draws the most crowds.
