just wondering how many nights people tend to stay while using dvc points? mine is 7 normally sat to sat. going to book my first off Saturday stay tomorrow for 5 nights. since we fly i dont like going down for less then 7 nights....i am asking bc i look a lot at the availability tool and i notice odd patterns of missing days in various rooms Thursday's seem to be a big one.

Although we are DVC rookies, we bought enough points to alternate 6 nights one year and 7 nights the next year. I think this will work out well for us.

We have gone on everything from one night to 10 night stays over the course of 20+ years, for a total of 140+ vacations.
Our "normal" stays unually average @3 or 4 nights per stay.
We currently have enough points to go Sun through Thurs nights for 32 nights per year at the lowest point usage times of the year in studios.

Typically we do 8 nights on points sat-sun. We will fly down on fri and pay cash at a value or something since we get in really late and I don't want to waste the pts

We are Sat-Sat people. Fits our work schedules better.

I think it's interesting to check the RAT and see what's available at different times. :yo-yo: Mondays seem heavily booked. I assume lots of long weekends. If we lived closer, I would totally be doing those!

5 or 6 nights, either Saturday or Sunday to Friday. Gives me a couple days when I get home to get settled before going back to work.

It varies with us but it is usually 6 to 7 nights. We have quite a few points and if it were just the two of us we would be hard pressed to use them all. We take our families down now and on two occasions we have taken all of us(10) and stayed in the 3 bedroom villas at OKW and BLT. This June we are taking our son and his family and the following October our daughter and her family. On these occasions we bank and borrow points to make the trips. My wife is quite the expert at figuring out all the ins and outs of this where as I get lost in it all...smjj

We stay different amounts of time with our trips. When school gets out, we will stay anywhere between 11-14 nights in late May/early June. Fall break, we will stay 7 or 8 nights. We have started doing a quick Christmas trip for about 4 nights - just to see the Christmas decorations and special fireworks. If we go for Food and Wine, just DH and I will stay a week in a studio. All of our other trips are in one or two bedroom villas.

We drive so to make the trip worthwhile we stay a minimum of 7 nights. We average about 30 days a year over 3 or 4 trips. Usually in studios but we do get a 2 bedroom at least once a year for 7 nights.

14 nights. We always do 2 weeks in May and 2 weeks in October. Though we like to throw a few extra trips in there too. Added a 1 week in August and a cruise in September with 2 days prior and 4 days after.

We usually stay 5-6 nights when we come down. One of them being in the middle of October for the Halloween party.

So many combinations. I have done a week. I do a lot of split stays pre and post cruise. Also if I am staying for 7 plus nights I will break it up and stay at 2 different resorts. I love the feel of 2 vacations. I am not a complete unpacker so it is fine for me.
The flexibility is the only reason I bought DVC. I love not being locked into any resort at any specific time for a specific amount of days.
Although when I first bought I did utilize the sun-thurs lower point schedule but it evened out a bit more now.

We typically go down for 7 nights with my son, then take a second three to four night adult trip in the summer for our anniversary. We've gone down for six nights twice and both trips felt way too short.

We recently stayed Monday-Saturday (5 nights) in December.

Planning a Tuesday-Tuesday (7 nights) trip in October.

I'm in the process of adding points so I'll be making longer trips and staying in larger rooms with the family.

One 7 night trip a year in a 2 bedroom, but now thst we added on we are trying to do two trips 5 or 6 days each. Still one in 2 bedroom ,but the other in a studio or one bedroom.

Two weeks on January, twelve nights in October with one shorter trip in the spring--this year it's five nights in a two bedroom, next year probably five or six nights in a Polynesian studio.
