What is e-ticket night?

Is it the same as an extra magic hour? My mother and I never planned to visit WDW in the summer but the rates were so good we couldn't resist. So we plan to do most of our park hours either in extra magic hours in the morning, or regular evenings to avoid the heat.

I was on the All Ears Network and saw a mention of E-ticket night and was not sure what it was.

They used to sell e-tickets for certain nights and you could go to the park after closing and have it practically to yourself. Kind of like EMH but not free and much less crowded than EMH.

It was for onsite guests and I think they were around $10.

E-ticket nights are a thing of the past. Now there are extra magic hours (EMH) in the morning and the evening after park closing at select parks. I don't remember e-ticket nights, but I know that they are not around anymore. I have heard that many liked them though...so maybe Disney should bring them back in conjuction with the EMH.

Thank you for the information! How do I find a schedule of when EHM's take place for when I'm going?

E-Tickets are a memory.

FYI, do your research on the park hours and extra magic hours. The parks that have the Extra Magic night hours are usually so packed for those nights, that it almost feels like a crowded day.

One of the touring plan sites actually tells you to stay away from those parks on those nights.

Not trying to put a damper on your trip, but thought you should be informed.

You'll have fun either way, Enjoy!

Just so you'll know......EMH are for guests staying in one of the Disney Resorts. Couldn't tell by your post if you planned on staying on Disney property or not.

I miss e-ticket nights. :( Some of my absolute best Disney memories took place on those nights. EMHs aren't the same since SO many people stay in the parks.

On our summer 2003 trip we took advantage of e-ride night twice. We paid an extra fee and got to stay in MK untill 1 or 2am. Most of the rides were walk on, it was really great. Oh how I miss e-ride night.

Evening EMH at MK on the other hand is a totally different ballgame. You still get to stay in MK untill 1 or 2am (summer) but the place is packed. I still can't resist doing evening EMH at MK because there is something special about being in MK till 2 in the morning, I just don't have the expectation that I'll be able to walk on a ton of rides.

Evening EMH at the other parks is something I just avoid. I visit the parks the morning after evening EMH and find the parks much less crowded.
