We will be in WDW 10/30- 11/8. We were trying to decide what to do on 10/31. We have been to MNSSHP two times and thought maybe we would try downtown disney this year. Our children will be 6 & 8. They do want to dress up and trick or treat.
What have your experiences been ??

To keep your question on 1st page somebody will be able to answer your question I'm sure.:wave2:

We have been down for the last couple of years for MNSSHP and we always go to Downtown Disney for one evening.
Unfortunately I have to say I can't recall anything special anywhere around WDW except for MK on the party nights.
I certainly didn't see anything significant as far as decorations or events at downtown Disney.
Maybe someone else can correct me but I'm pretty sure about this.
Good Luck

I've never heard of there being special things at Downtown Disney on Halloween night, but I do know there are special events at the Boardwalk. I think they have a costume contest, a DJ, candy, and maybe characters. Maybe you could check that out, instead.

I've been debating, myself, whether to do MNSSHP or the Boardwalk on Halloween night. Maybe we'll see you there!

201 days and counting . . . again!

DTD on Halloween is very crowded. Everyone is dressed up in costumes and they go from store to participating store to get candy.

I saw lines at quite a few of the stores. I won't be going back for a visit on Halloween. But if you enjoy trick or treating and dressing up in a costume it is a great place to be.

I was at DTD on Halloween last year and it was crowded but managable. Yes the kids dressed up and most sotres were gien out candy. We got off the bus at the enterence to Marketplace (by the Christmas store and water jets in the ground) and the first store we came to was the Reading-writing one and they were in the doorway with a bag for the kids if they didn't have one and some candy. Just look for the big balloon outside of a doorway and there will be candy close by. It was crowded but it was also a Friday night and not sure how many locals came.
It was fun and if I was there this year I would do it again. I did MNSSHP on a different night and that was fun too.

We were there a few years back. We went to DTD to trick or treat. It wasn't that special. We expected more from Disney. They had candy at most stores. The kids enjoyed it. It wasn't very crowded if I remember correctly. I'm from PA so the best part of being there was the weather!! Good Luck and have fun.
