What is Disneyland like in early June?

We have been kicking around the idea of visiting Disneyland this coming year. We have several different times in mind, but we are sort of leaning towards early June because we could stay a lot longer and do some other stuff in the area as well.

So, what is Disneyland like in June as far as weather and crowds? We are thinking about the first week in June. Opinions? I know there is the big celebration going on this summer. How do you think that will affect things? We would avoid the weekends, of course.

The very first week of June is probably pretty good crowd wise, especially on weekdays. Weather is usually what we refer to as June Gloom--overcast and generally in the 70s during the day, though it could easily be bright, sunny and in the 90s. Evenings always cool off, so make sure you have sweaters, sweatshirts, or summer jackets for when the sun goes down. I think if crowds are bigger than normal it will be mostly because of tourists, not that the locals won't be there, but I just think they'll follow their normal visiting patterns, rather than make special trips over that particular week.

We were there June 6-10 this year. The "June Gloom" took us by surprise as we intended to go to the beach alot (too cold) but it was great for being at the parks. The crowds were not bad- we got to do everything easily. Overall a great time to go!

We hit the June gloom in June 2002 and I never had my shorts on. The weather was very comfortable for visiting the parks but incredibly disapointing for California. (We have been to DL twice and have yet to have nice weather).

There were also a tonne of teenagers there for end of school field trips but with Fast Pass the crowds were manageable.

I agree! There are so many junior high kids at the parks at that time of year. I've been twice during the first week of June now, and I found the weekends were actually less crowded than the weekdays because of all the school groups!

I think the weather is really nice, even if it is cloudy sometimes. Just take a light jacket or a sweatshirt or else you'll end up having to buy one there!
