What is Disneyland after Dark?

We are going on the 8th and have been told that there is a special ticketed event they are having that night called Disney After Dark? No wonder it was so hard to get a room. Does anyone know what it is about? Thanks

I believe that is only at Disney World.

No. It is at Disneyland on May 8th, but it is by invitation only.

It's hard to find any information on it online. I've seen references, but no real ticketing info. I did see a pair of tickets on craigslist though.

Must be some private corporate event that they are not advertising.

Hi, I can explain it to you somewhat! It is a special party that Disney is throwing. My son is autistic, but I doubt most of the nominess are autistic.

It was a nationwide contest that Disney put on this year called "Dreammaker" where people could nominate worthy persons or groups who deserve a trip to a special private party at the Disneyland Resort. They chose about 100 nominees for this and will have a party that night to celebrate the nominees, while also choosing one or more to make their dreams come true. When a person was nominated, you also shared what dream you wish would come true for this person.

My son was chosen because of his amazing strides forward and the sacrifices our family has made to make that happen. I know so many families were just as worthy of this special win!

Of course to me, the fact they picked my son as one of the nominees and paid for our entire family (8 of us) to go fly to Disneyland, stay at Disneyland Hotel, gave us 8 three-day park hopper passes, and are throwing us a party is MORE than enough. I could not ask for more!

According to the calendar the park closes at 8 p.m. So I assume the event is being held after that since it will barely be dark at 8 p.m.?

I agree. I just reported it to Disneyland and to Craigslist. This is private and the ad is false advertising. It implies they are going to grant wishes at random to anybody in the park that night and that is not the truth.

Yes, it will be from 9 PM - 1 AM.

Thank you! I am still walking around in awe of God for allowing us to be blessed with a family vacation to Disneyland. (Sorry if that offends any who don't believe in God, but I do). I don't have a lot of expectations, as you can never predict little kids, let alone a child with autism. We will just take it minute by minute and enjoy all the sweet memories!
