Last year took the wife on her birthday which was Dec 3.. everything was very festive for Christmas.. This year we are doing the 24th to the 31st cruise... (With my folks and our 5 year old.) Just curious if there is anything "special" other than all of the other special things that Disney does for Christmas Day.? I know we will be sailing south that day but... my wife wanted me to ask the board.. :listen:

Thanks

We were on the 10 day cruise last Christmas and had a wonderful time. Some of the special things:

  • First night they had a tree lighting and it snowed in the atrium
  • Christmas eve Mrs. Clause read "The Night Before Christmas"
  • Christmas eve day Santa visited and had gifts for the kids.
  • Christmas eve and day there was egg nog and Christmas cookies out in the atrium.
  • There was also a special Christmas dinner.
  • Last, but not least, if you are Catholic they had Mass on Christmas eve at 11 pm - beautiful service.
Christmas eve we were in Antiqua and Christmas day we were in St. Thomas so some of the events may be different depending on your days (ie. Santa may come on Christmas day if you are at sea instead of Christmas eve).

We have wonderful memories from our 10 day cruise. If you want to read about our trip click on the monorail green link below, then Disney Cruise Line, then the 10 day cruise. That page will take you to the link to our trip report. Enjoy!
