What is better Disneyland or Disney World

I have only been to disneyland but from what I have read every ride at disneyland is better except tower of terror and splash mountain.

I think the only thing disneyworld has over disneyland is it is bigger with differnt parks to visit epcot ect.

I have only been to DL as well, but I will vote DL anyways!!! I vote that because it is Walts park, and the only of the Disney parks he ever set foot in. And like the quote that posted the other day by Al Lutz, DL was built by a father for his daughters, WDW was built by a comittee for hoardes....

I've only been to DL, but am going to presume WDW is better due to all the places you can see and venture through to.

That's just IMO.

Well, since this was asked in the Disneyland section of the dis...I'm guessing you'll get "Disneyland" as the most popular answer.

If you're asking which is better...Disneyland Park vs. The Magic Kingdom at WDW....I can easily say Disneyland.

But if you're comparing the entire experience of DLR and WDW....well...I can't really choose. I love both.

I will say that the worst Disney park I've been to is MGM.

Apples and Oranges....

Don't try to compare...enjoy what makes them unique.

I would agree that you can't really pick one as being better, because they are both wonderful in their own way. However, I have been to WDW many times, and was at Disneyland for the first time this summer, and I tell everyone that if I was picking a family vacation I would probably pick WDW, simply because there is so much more, such as water parks, etc. However, my favourite park of the 6 I have been to would easily by the Disneyland Park. We all simply fell in love with it and all the details that are not at Disneyworld.

The details at Disneyland are great.

We also found Disneyland to be much cleaner than WDW.

I've been to 6 different Disney "Parks": Disneyland, California Adventure, Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and MGM Studios.

My favorite out of those 6 is Disneyland -- hands down the winner.

If you want to compare "Disneyland Resort", which equals Disneyland plus California Adventure, to "Walt Disney World", which equals the 4 parks plus water parks, it really isn't a fair comparison. I choose to visit and enjoy both! :wizard:

I've been to both, and I find whichever one I am in is my favorite one at the time. It's a "Love the One Your with" kind of thig for me.

Call me fickle!!

If you have already been to one... you should then try the other.

I'm a DL native who has gone to WDW many times. WDW is a great deal of fun with the main difference being the size of the property and the number of parks.

I don't have a favorite, but try WDW if you've only been to DL. Epcot and DAK are treasures on their own... you'll have a blast.

As a whole WDW is better than DLR. But Disneyland is much better than the Magic Kingdom! :thumbsup2

Opinions please!

If you would like to compare and contrast Disneyland to MK then Disneyland wins, more rides Walts personal touch.

As for comparing the WHOLE Florida property to the Anaheim property then I think Florida would win. More to do and much more variety. They are both wonderful places however.

We like both, and Paris Disneyland too. Each region's park is so different you can't really compare them. Epcot and Animal Kingdom only exist in WDW, while 150 year-old gas lamps still burn on Main Street in DL.

That is what is compelling us to buy DVC in DL, as we did in WDW . . .we'd like DVC home resorts in both WDW and DL!

What an unfair question . . . really!

:rotfl2:

You are on a Disneyland forum you know?

Each has its stengths. For a more "all inclusive" type of vacation then WDW is really the winner. I love the weather at DLR in the summer. WDW just can't compete there. If I had three days and had to choose one or the other, I would choose DLR because it lends itself to shorter trips. If I had 8-10 days then WDW would be the obvious choice.

I love that WDW has onsite hotels/resorts for all price ranges. I've never stayed onsite at Disneyland but we were able to stay onsite at WDW and it was great!
