What is best way to do MK over 2 days?

Should we split it into different areas or is there another strategy that is best? We have a 4 and 1.5 yo kids, so stuff like SM is probably out for us and we will be taking a midday break. If it is best to split into different areas over 2 days which ones are best to group together? Another factor is one of the two days will be a Christmas party day, which we will be attending, so shorter than normal day in the park and didn't know if that should impact how we tackle it over 2 days.

I would make a decision in terms of where you start (i.e. we go straight back to Splash Mountain), and then work one direction or another from there. So we like to do Fronteirland, Adventureland and squeeze in lunch at the Columbia Harbour House.

Whats your Fast Pass situation? I would recommend 'clumping' lands if you can (i.e. Fronteirland and Adventureland or Tommorowland and Fantasyland)

Probably, my in laws are going and my MIL does not want to ride any of the roller coasters, even ones like SDMT, so we will probably do it on those at least just to get the extra FP for later.

We aren't at the 60 day mark yet, but we had palnned on lumping them. I think one day we were going to try for SDMT and PP and maybe enchanted tells with Belle pretty early in the morning. We weren't sure for day two, but will probably start back with BTMRR and then move back. I think we will probably do tomorrow land and fantasy land all in one dya for sure and then maybe shoot for frontier and adventure the other. Is that the best way most people have found?

Yes, we are taking a break everyday we are at WDW. We are doing both MK and the party on the same day because we are first timers and want to get a feel for the park and try to determine if our kids will be more into the rides, characters, shows, etc. That way we know what to try to see at the party instead of going in completely blind.

We used the Easy WDW as a reference and then built a touring plan for the portions of the plans we wanted, generally aiming to try to do Future area + Fantasyland one day and Frontier/Adventure another plus a bit of fantasyland.

have you made your list already of what you want to see and plotted that against the map? My 1.5 and 4 i would think: Buzz, Astro Orbiter, People Mover, Barnstormer, Dumbo, Peter Pan, the train, teacups, Winnie the Pooh; carousel, Philharmagic, It's a Small World, Tom Sawyer Island, Magic Carpets, parade. Plus characters of course.

We always build our plan around our FPs. Usually we rope drop and head to 7DMT or Space Mountain. We typically get FPs for Splash, Space/7DMT, and BTMR. It also depends on where you want to do lunch. Normally, we try to do most of the attractions the first day so our second day can be spent meeting characters and taking everything slower.

Here's what we do:
One day: Start at adventureland/frontierland and do everything we want to do except for the Treehouse (save for evening for better views) and Country Bears (only do that when it's hot and we need a nap).
Then we take the train over to Fantasyland and walk the path to Tomorrowland and do everything there. If we start in the morning when the park opens, our first FP is for Buzz. We don't do space mountain until later with a same-day 4th FP (see below).

Then we walk up to get some food in Liberty Square (like columbia harbour house). Then watch the parade. Then do Haunted Mansion, then shop our way out of the park. At this point the non-shoppers head to Space Mtn and we meet at the entrance then head home.

Day two: Get BOG reservations pre-park. Do all of Fantasyland until you're tired. Go back to swim and nap. Then come back later for the fireworks. Depending on timing, do the treehouse or astro-orbiter or something that is cool at night.

I think the most important thing to remember is that you can't do everything in two days. Just pick and choose your favorites and make sure you rest and relax and enjoy it. Some things are going to be must-dos and some things you'll do every other time. I thought our first trip would be our only trip for a very long time but we ended up going the next year because we realized it wasn't that hard or expensive if you do it right and plan.

We do Tomorrowland and Fantasyland one day, Adventureland and Frontierland the second day.
