What is/are your child(ren)'s name(s)?

DD is Tessa
DS is Sawyer

Tessa is named after my sister, Teresa. Sawyer's name means "cutter of wood" and my husband and dad build houses. My grandpa owned a sawmill, so it was perfect.

No one has ever made the "you named your kid that?" face when I tell them my kid's names. People usually comment that they are nice names and that they haven't heard them very much. Plus, they're easy to spell!

Wow, this post is better than a baby name book! :cutie: :cutie:

I am expecting in January and dh and I are deciphering baby boy names.
It's tough!

Our dd's name is Ariella and ds's names are Franz, Connor & Caden.

For our upcoming arrival we are contemplating Ashton Blake. :cutie:

My twin daughters are:

Amy Lynn (first name is after my cousin)
Audrey Lee (first name is after my grandma)

My son is:

Blaise Alexander (there was a Nascar driver named this-I think he drove Busch or ARCA, but he was killed a few years back and I just saw his name on Nascar's website one time years ago when he was killed and liked the name so I named my boy that!)

Haven't named any children yet... my stepson is Bobby (no middle name) named after his father and grandfather.

Names I have picked out for when my children come:
Julie Scarlett
Andrew Erik
Madeline Louise

(Erik and Louise are family members that have passed away and Scarlett is for my mom who is obsessed with Gone with the wind)

My dog is Louie- named for Lou Ferrigno (the Hulk)

recent names my friends have picked out:
Mackenzie Grace
Dane Kelly (boy)
Gavin Nicholas
Ethan Ronald
Carolyn Shea (shea for Shea Stadium- where the Mets play LOL)
also have a friend with a baby Kamaryn. they call her Kami and I LOVE that name

My name is Valerie Lynne- I haven't seen my name on here once and I have always loved my name.

We have four DD's, their names are...

Madison Shaye, 10

Kendall Avery, 7

Ashlynn Haily, 5

Emersen Grace, 2

/
My kids names are Margaret Grace (Maggie)
and Dennis Matthew.

I have an aunt and an uncle with those names (which is nice) but I can't really say they were named after them. we just really liked the names, and you don't really hear them that often. maggie is becoming a LITTLE more common recently.

party: Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope you're feeling well so you can enjoy it - it's such an exciting time! And good luck on your name search - maybe you'll tell us what you're considering?

DD is named Madison Marie
Our new baby due any day now will be Jack William or Layla Rose

Jordan Nichole (my first name is Nichole as well)
I guess you could use Jordan for a boy or girl.
We only have 1 child, and if it would have been a boy: Nathan Steven(my DH's first name is Steven). Happy baby name picking!

My dd's names for the most part are in my sig but I will post their full names.

Juliette Marie~ Juliette because it was pretty and really fits her, Marie is kind of a traditional first daughter middle name in our family but I liked before we discovered that. She likes to be called Jules b/c its shorter and I think b/c everyone calls me by my nickname.

Lily Michelle~ Lily is one of the many names on the list I made but in the end Juliette picked her name. I was originally going with Isabelle Jayme. I like the ette and elle in names I don't know why hence the reason for michelle and thats what her daddy wanted. In the end Juliette likes to tell people that she named her sissy.

Best of luck with your new little one and have lots of fun picking a name.

:cheer2: I still have the only NEELY. :cheer2:

DD 12 Neely Emily----Gaelic--Means Champion--named after a Hockey player--Emily means industrious.

DD 10 Gracie Nye---English Meaning God's Favor and Welsh meaning Gold---Named after Gracie Allen and Bill NYE. Two people very smart in very different ways.

My favorite names are:

Ryan James

Megan Grace

Luke Jacob

My advice ~ find one that means calm, peaceful, and joyful!!:rotfl:

My DD's are Christine Marie & Kendra Renee. I've always loved the classicly beautiful names that have been around forever. Christine's middle name is mine :goodvibes

We tried to avoid trendy names but didn't succeed! :lol Our oldest 2 boys names were not trendy when we picked them but became trendy within 2 years of us using them so neither has another with their name in their class but there are a few with their name 2-3 years behind them. They are:

Brandon Richard (Richard after my father)
Connor Grant

Our youngest is Aidan Joseph (Joseph was my grandfather's middle name. I just couldn't bring myself to use his first name and call DS Aidan Fritz ;) ).

Our youngest was a surprise (we call him our party crasher ;) ). When we found out he was another boy we had a hard time picking a name for him since we were out of boy names we agreed on so we just went with the #2 choice for DS #2. It was not even on the radar when DS #2 was born but shortly thereafter the Sex and the City character was named Aidan and it became the #1 name for a few years. We knew it was super popular but we couldn't agree on a different name by the time he was born so he became Aidan. :)

We would have had the same trendy problem for girls. From the time I was about 15 I said if I had a daughter I wanted to name her Isabella Grace. Those are my great grandmother's names and I loved the name. Right up untill the last few years people would wrinkle their nose and say "really? That's an old lady name." Then in the last few years there are a ton of Isabelle and Isabellas. The other girl names we would have used would have been Ava Catherine or Julia Grace.
