What is AP rate???

Ok, I am fairly new.
Can someone tell me what AP rate is.
Why you have to wait so long for it???
And when can I get it

It's the Annual Pass rate. Only those who buy an annual pass to the parks qualify for it although only one person in the room has to buy an AP. Disney releases discounts for AP holders at their discretion. You can make a ressie on the AP rate, just make sure you have purchased an AP before you get to your hotel.
