My DD8 has been talking about these (friends have them at school) and thinks the I-Penguin is soooo cool!! Since I don't have any wonderful ideas on what to get her for Christmas, I thought this would be a good idea, except that I have no idea what it does or what I need to go with it. Reading the box, it says instructions are inside, a lot of good that does me!! It plays music, that much I know. Can anyone give me a brief explanation of what these things do? Thanks!

idogs (and lots of other variations) connect to an iPod (or other MP3, I expect) and act as a speaker of sorts. My DS has an idog and he connects it to the TV somehow and it's quite annoying! :-)

The idogs dance and wiggle their ears, and light up, according to the sound patterns from the iPod (or CD player, or TV, or whatever it's connected to).

It's a waste of money, that's what :lmao: My DD had to have one, begged for one, pleaded for one. Didn't get one (for Christmas ;)) b/c I knew it would be another forgotten toy. DD decided to buy one herself after Christmas. the novelty wore off in less than a week. Now it sits on a shelf. Just glad it wasn't my money :rotfl: Wanna a good deal on a Spidey Idog??? JK, if I mentioned selling it to DD, she would find a new interest in it again. Hmmmm, maybe that's what I should do :scratchin

Both of my girls have the I-dog Pup and they love them! They have their own music programmed into them, or when placed by the speaker of the cd player will dance and bark and such. They are cheaper than the I-dog too! They have had them for 6 or 8 months and have the carrying purse and take them everywhere with them!

My DD7 has an Idog pup, she loves it! He sits in front of her clock radio and dances when she listens to her music. She's even brought it out when we are watching Dancing With the Stars so he can dance. LOL She got it last year as a b-day gift from her best friend.

My DD8 uses her iDog, probably because it provides a set of external speakers for her iPod and she doesn't have to use headphones. The speaker quality is not great, but she is happy, and the dog is cute! I got it on sale for $10, so it was worth the money.

i have one (gift) which is good fun if you want a set of speakers, otherwise pretty much nothing. It will be forgotten (like i did tell i read this post) and the batteries run out really fast!
