What is an AL-player in pirates??

I have seen these - are they game ships? How do people get them?

I had been wondering about them myself. They are A I - artificial intelligence. How do you turn them on to have them play in the game?

I have been asking on VMK and no one would answer. Then, finally, someone said "choose a ship" so I thought you clicked on the ships to get them to come on. I started a game and was clicking away on a ship when some poor soul joined the game while I was clicking away and I guess I bumped them from the game!

So, I moved down to another spot and started clicking away on the ship there and this poor soul tried to join down in that spot and I guess I bumped them out again!

I didn't know I was doing that.....they asked me why I kept bumping them from my game and I couldn't explain! Watch for me in the VMK.....I am the r e a l l y slow one!

To add an AI (Artificial intelligence) player, start a game and click the words "Add AI Player". Sometimes you have to click them more more than once.

I am in the game now and I don't see those words any where when I start a game?

Bring up the Start A Game window, and where it has the list of players, click an empty plyer box to add a computer player. You can also choose what kind of ship it will be. Remember, you have to be the leader of the game to do this.

Oh, and I checked and it doesn't show up for Capture the Flag. I'm thinking that's because it'd be too easy for a player character to win since the computer probably doesn't know how to play it...
