There's several dozen pregnant women on here, if they all want their own thread, there will be dozens of them nearly identical. There's not much interest in 30 or more threads on nausea. Your friend falls perfectly into an already existing thread - Moms to Be.

lol, I started thinking about this. Can you imagine? Most pregnancies follow a script. We all just like to think ours is different! I can't imagine wanting everyone to know about every puke. That seems like personal blog stuff to me. Or a girl's group sharing with everyone else feeling the same.

the cool kid remarks are so highschoolish. sometimes life isn't fair. sometimes things have passed unnoticed, and it is realized that having 20 of them would be ridiculous. sometimes an old thread gets grandfathered in when the rules change. at least this is the case on the board I moderate.

This is exactly why the blog/clique board would work. Those threads would not need to be locked. Instead they would be moved to their very own special place and everyone would be happy.

My guess (and it is only that) is that that the old thread were grandfathered. The rule just came into effect (possibly as a reaction to previous "All about me" threads) and was applied to new threads. However, mods are not going back and removing existing threads.

Just a guess.

The rules should be enforced equally.
