What is AAA's "Disney Month" in January?

They have a huge ad promoting January as their Disney Month and will have specials and discounts.

I just got the latest AAA e-newsletter, and there was nothing about it on there. On their WDW vacation page they just send you to the WDW site and the specials Disney is already offering..

If I get something else I'll be sure to post it.

This is how I won a free trip to disney 2 summers ago! AAA. They do podcasts about disney, etc and have contests for free night stay or free tix or the grand prize is a trip. I don't recall there being speciifc discounts but I wasn't really pricing a trip thru them but their webpage sponsored an essay contest to which I entered.

My TA told me that it's the regular AAA discount, plus a $100 gift card if you book a trip over $3000.

Right now I have a AAA room-only deal booked thru disney -- do you know if I'd need to switch the ressie over to AAA directly to get the gift card deal? And I think AAA directly only books packages, right? We are AP holders and don't need tix.

Yeah, you have to book through AAA directly. The gift card would be nice, but I am still hoping for a better deal.

The offers can also differ from region to region. I work with a AAA TA in the Carolinas, but I live in MA which is AAA Southern New England. And we booked our trip in January last year because it was AAA month and the 2 regions had 2 different offers...neither of which we could take advantage of.

So far, I know that the Carolinas offer for Disney Month is a (small) gift card when you book the new promotion that is coming out on Jan. 3rd (the same that is currently available to Disney Visa cardholders.) So it's only available for spring dates...which doesn't help us at all since we are hoping to go in Nov.
