What is a My Disney Girl Doll?

I hope this is the right forum.
I keep hearing about this doll and would like some more information about her.
What size, type, clothes where to get her, that sort of thing.
I saw the thread about the tea party where you get one but so far it is not offered when I will be there.

The My Disney Girl Doll is similar to the American Girl Doll in size, shape and style. She is 18" tall and can wear all of the American Girl clothes. She comes in different ethnicities, haircolors and eye colors. She has a line of clothing and accessories, as well. She is only available at the Disney parks, and it quite popular. When we bought one for my daughter, the price was around $40 but that was about 1 1/2 years ago, so the price may have gone up since then.
