Just got to thinking about Main Street Transportation. I know there are 5 possibilities - fire truck, horse-drawn street car, horseless carriage, jitney and omnibus. The fire truck and horse-drawn street car are easy and I assume the big doubledecker green bus is the omnibus but I haven't got a clue what a jitney is. If it's a car how does it differ from a horseless carriage and if it's a bus how does it differ from the omnibus?
I can't find any pics either. Just wondering. :)

Thank you! But how is that different from a "horseless carriage"?

The jitney (in this case) is a "horseless carriage."

But not every "horseless carriage" is a jitney.

A jitney usually implies that the vehicle carries multiple "fares."

Ahhhh, that's beginning to make more sense, thank you! I'm ashamed to say I've been to WDW 9 times and never took much notice of the Main Street vehicles - something to look out for TWO WEEKS TODAY!!! Yee haa!!! (Just a tad excited!!):cheer2: :cool1:  :yay: :cheer2: :cool1:  :yay: :cheer2:

Ahhhh, that's beginning to make more sense, thank you! I'm ashamed to say I've been to WDW 9 times and

1- never took much notice of the Main Street vehicles

2- something to look out for TWO WEEKS TODAY!!!

1- The Main Street vehicles are only out in the mornings (and into early afternoon.) After that, they exit the park due to safety reasons on a crowded Main Street.

2- Have a magical trip! :wizard:
