I haven't seen anywhere explaining exactly what a Grand Villa is at the DVC resorts. There is studio, one bed, two bed, grand villa. All I know is that it sleeps twelve. Does that mean it has 3 or 4 bedrooms?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Three bedrooms.

They have a master with king bed and two additional bedrooms each with two queen beds. The king bed sleeps 2 and each of the four queen beds also sleeps 2. That's 10 total.

Then the living room has at least a queen-size sofa bed to sleep 2 more. Some also have a twin size sleeper chair to accommodate a total of 13.

I believe Grand Villas are usually 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom. Most are 2 stories, except Jambo and a few at BWV are all on one level. Usually they have a larger dining room table than a 1/2 BR.

In terms of space. Consider the space taken by a normal hotel room. A studio =1 room. 1BR=2 rooms, 2BR=3 rooms. A grand villa is typically the space of 5 or 6 rooms. In Jambo they use most of the space of the 6th room for a dedicated pool table room ;)

They are God's gift to man particulary if you get one of the single story ones at AKV Jambo or BWV with huge combined living/dining room area like a great room. The points for them are extreme but they are huge (2100 to 2300 sq ft range) with three bedrooms, three to four bathrooms, large TVs, some at AKV even have a TV in the bathroom to watch while in the whirlpool tub. Ones at AKV Jambo even have a billiards room with a pool table. You stay in one and stand out on the porch and those walking by think you are part of the upper 1% that should be taxed to death even if you are not. If you can accumulate enough points to do one once, do so, but then be prepared to feel like you are slumming it when you have to return to reality and reserve smaller units.

There are various videos on utube where people have filmed the inside spaces. Just google the resort name and grand villa.

DIS veteran who said it was God's gift to man is exactly right! Before we bought at BLT we rented points for a Grand Villa at BWV. My daughter was getting married at the Sea Breeze Gazebo and we figured BMV was the perfect place to get everyone together, both for getting ready as well as after. We were overlooking the Boardwalk and couldn't have picked a better place. Tons of room, including the balcony. If you ever get a chance, put this on your bucket list of things to do.
