I need to buy a new tree- the old one is a 10 year old hand me down reminiscent of both a Charlie Brown Christmas and the Leaning Tower of Pisa :) I'm looking at around a 6 or 7 foot, wondering what kind of prices people have paid in the past. Is it worth waiting a few more days, or will everything be picked over 5 minutes after stores open? Just curious because I have no frame of reference on this one :)

I personally would not wait to long. You may not be able to get what you are looking for. I bought a new one 3 Christmas's ago the day after Christmas. To be honest, I had forgotten I bought it until I pulled it out last year. I packed it away and forgot all about it. It is about 8 feet tall, and I have no idea what I paid for it! I assume I probably paid like $60. It is really nice, and I like it!

I'm looking for one too... have always had real ones but I'm suspecting they are exacerbating one of my son's allergies. Anyway, they are very expensive from what I can tell online. I'm looking at 7 1/2 and most of them are outrageous. I'll probably hit Lowes, home depot, and walmart first thing in the morning.

I'll be out the door early tomorrow for a new tree. I'm budgeting 150.00 but I want a really fat/thick tree that is 7.5ft tall that is also prelit! My hobbylobby had a really nice tree that I like for 400.00 a couple weeks ago. I wonder how much it will be priced tomorrow. I'm also going to hit up home depot, lowes and maybe sears.
