I am looking for a TS to start my trip with... preferably a character meal at a resort. My kids are 2 and 3. Here is what I have so far...

Saturday - ???
Sunday - Breakfast at Crystal Place, Dinner at Tony's
Monday - ??? (A Dinner either in AK or a resort? Suggestions?)
Tuesday - Breakfast at Ohana's, Dinner at Garden Grill (But I am going to try and change that to LeCavieller... that may not work out though
Wednesday - Hollywood Play n Dine
Thursday - Dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern
Friday - ???? Either resort or Park... we are flying out that afternoon

Suggestions??

Well, you just can't go wrong with Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary! Pretty solid decent food, and the character interaction is fun. We got to see Goofy doing a back flip, and the Celebration song was fun too.
Side note: just our family's personal opinion, we were full-fledged Le Cellier freaks, but we enjoyed Garden Grill IMMENSELY last trip! It was probably the best character interaction we have ever gotten at a meal and extremely good food! But then again if you do go to Le Cellier, you've got to get the S'mores dessert, you won't be disappointed! OMG, I am wiping drool off my laptop!

The reason I was thinking about changing Garden Grill was that when I looked at the menu... I didn't think my husband would like the food. He is a really picky eater... but he adores steak!

Anyway... I just called on that one.. .and I got LeCelliar... :cool1:

I was thinking of starting with CHef Mickey's... I don't think we will be doing any parks that first day... so it would be fun to get the kids excited! Plus we can take the monorail for a ride!

Anything good in AK?

I'd do Chef Mickey's for the character interaction (though I did not like the dinner food) or 1900 Park Fair (Cinderella and company) at the Grand Floridian.

Both are on the monorail so you can do that and resort hop before or after.

My family enjoys Crystal Palace at MK too (Pooh and friends).

You didn't say if you had boys or girls or one of each, but there is a Princess Breakfast at Norway in Epcot that is nice for the day you leave or Tusker House breakfast at the Animal Kingdom.

I second the PP that said to start the trip at Chef Mickey's. We didn't do Garden Grill our last trip, but looking forward to it this trip b/c we didn't get to meet Chip and Dale last go around.

Our family tradition is to start our trip with dinner at Crystal Palace and end our trip with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Both have good food and great character interaction.

We started out with Chef Mickey's last year and this year we're doing it for DH's birthday. It's DS (3)'s favorite place to go. In fact, he's already asking when we're eating with Mickey for Dad's birthday. If your sons are like mine, the princess dinner at 1900 Parkfare is not the way to go though it may be nice to end with the 1900 Parkfare breakfast with the Mad Hatter and Tigger and Pooh.

We always end our trip with Cape May breakfast buffet

Thanks! Here are the ADRs I went with... Anything that is a MUST that I missed? Anything I have that is no good?

Saturday, May 31: Chef Mickey’s (D) 6:25PM
Sunday, June 1: Crystal Palace (B) 8:05AM & Tony’s Town Square (D) 5:00PM
Monday, June 2: Tusker House (B) 9:00AM
Tuesday, June 3: Ohana’s (B) 8:30AM & LeCellier (D) 4:20PM
Wed., June 4: Hollywood & Vine(L) 12:15PM
Thursday, June 5: Liberty Tree Tavern(D) 4:05PM
Friday, June 6: 1900 Park Fare (B) 10:10AM

I would have to say definetely Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary! It is our family's favorite restaraunt and it is a tradition for us. I also would reccomend the Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club, or Princess Norway in Epcoy. These are all great but I would go with Chef Mickey's!
